Useless good for nothing nobody gets summoned into a semi-realistic high-fantasy setting and all he gets is the ability to return to a previous point in time upon death. He's literally weak and just as worthless as he was in the real world otherwise.
Oh, also, he can't control the "save point", its decided by the person who cursed him. The conditions seem to be him breaking through certain hardships or barriers.
His entire focus in this world is an unusual obsession with Emilia, a silver-haired half elf that looks exactly like the Witch of Envy, and the Witch of Envy is likely who cursed him. She is sealed, and a world-ending disaster waiting to happen.
The story seems to be going along the line that Subaru is slowly moving toward killing and absorbing the "witch dna" of various Sin Archbishops. If he gets enough of them, he can be a "sage", and the last sage, Flugel, was one of three heroes who originally sealed the Witch of Envy.
Anyway, Subaru is a worthless loser for like 13 episodes and acts in a very selfish and self-centered way. He suffers a lot, dies in painful ways, and although he does some good and makes some friends and whatnot, he's still a shit person until Rem (the blue haired maid) helps him restart "from zero" and work to be a better person.
It's a good series, but Subaru is a little cringe and grating at first, but you'll like him much more by the end. He develops a lot as a character.

It's the complete opposite, actually. Women in the workplace in Japan use boku all the time. It's become extremely common the past decade for more and more women to use boku. It's not as gender-specific as it once was. Anime still continues to use it like it is, though.

Imagine where you could go with someone like Aqua going up to Emilia and saying 'hey, we're friends, right? Could you do this one little favor for me? Since we're...friends?'
