I think it was bad too, I'm not thirteen years old, but I don't think I'd call it "overrated." Literally no critic takes it seriously. It's only "overrated" in so far as the kids/teens who have an excuse to give it a ten out of ten since none of their favorite anitubers have shit on it yet.

Monster was incredible until I realised he wasn't a serial killer. My friend recommended it to me saying it was about a serial killer neurosurgeon, could have been incredible if it was shorter and he was a killer. Still good though, although it doesn't really provide a satisfying conclusion to the philosophical themes it raises.
