Most people who know and care about anime and manga are on this board, it's really unhelpful to get recommendations from a board which collects just random request.
I think the requests board are made for specific request like "decensor this tiddy for me", and not general threads which are so strongly linked to the themes of the board they belong to and require much deeper knowledge of the topic
That's why I think we should really discuss to implement a recommendation thread (do not use the word "general"!!!), as a standard recurring thread like scanlation thread, drawfag thread, etc.
It'd be a good place to explore new manga and discuss genres without having to fear the ban for making a latu sensu recommendation thread. Recommendation which shouldn't degenerate into spoonfeeding and "sauce request", which should rightly belong into the request boards.

For example: If you are looking for battle shonen shows/manga, you just post your favorite show/manga and then simply mock every others ESPECIALLY the most autistic fanbases there like HxH, etc.,. Like "How does it feel to know BNHA is the most popular and the best battle shonen RIGHT NOW. "Hunterchads" need not apply." and let the replies roll in.
