Just finished LN vol. 17.
Honestly it felt like a let down. Somehow the last part that felt good to read was back when they rescued that little village from the bishop putting them under his thumb by showing them Holo's miracle. After that it felt like one after another plot threads were just dropped. Not sure if the author fixed it in the sequel or the 3 after-story volumes, but WTF happened to the whole story with the Twilight Bear? It felt like the series got the axe or something and the author dragged the story too much with unneccessary things like the whole "escape from the mercenaries" plotline in vol. 16, which did some omnious foreshadowing about Holo appearing in wolf form in front of so many people. I must say much of it disappointed me, escpacially that the side-stories were too numerous and overshadowed the main story.
Also far too repetetive dynamics. "And then Lawrence realized that Holo won against him in mind games and he knew that it was pointless to win against her" and such lines came up far, far too often that it just made me roll my eyes at some point.

Uh I’ve read the first 3 of the 4 and I’d say about 1/3 of each book is comfy If you understand what I mean. The drama is still there and the relationship gets complicated so It’s true to its roots. Isuna wrote wolf and parchment and aimed to write a book where you can open to any page before you fall asleep to find cute, fuzzy things jumping at you. The first book sets the tone, so don’t buy them all at once.

I personally do this too.
Due the lack of art in the LNs you have to imagine everything, but reading the manga after reading the LNs will help you to get a better image of the characters.

You could tell he has been trying to see if he could get more seasons going but most likely Kadokawa being stupid again, merch is still coming out so they probably have no reason to drop the title but since S2 sold a bit lower than S1 that might most likely be the reason why they they had the site up although game planning does take a while I highly doubt they foresaw that VR would become a thing.

Watched this for the first time recently. While it was a decent watch, by no means would I consider it a "Masterpiece" as I see most labelling it as. Holo is a dynamic character, but what got me was there was hardly any background info given regarding either Her OR Lawrence...at all! All it lets you know is that she is some sort of centuries old Wolf deity who is no longer worshiped as the villagers used to towards her. Out of everyone she could have chosen to appear to, why Lawrence? Please don't tell me that it all goes back to him being such an "overly nice Guy" or something like that!
I mean its definitely worth the watch, but from 1-10, I give it a 7 tops. Had there been more background information regarding our heroine and...'hero'...I'd knock it up to an 8; perhaps higher depending on how vast they went about presenting it to us.

But...I think it's a bit different when one of those "anyone's" is a centuries old, once highly revered Wolf Goddess who pops out of nowhere, is capable of transforming into the biggest goddamn Wolf I've ever seen, and She didn't pick Lawrence at random.
