I haven't watched much of the 2nd year of the anime but I watched this episode. Initially I was a bit concerned since it looked like they changed it completely, but after the spirit dive showdown I ended up liking it. I just hope they didn't burn through the budgets for Julius' and Anegoleon's fights.

Also I really like that Pierrot changed the way Rill's magic looks. When it was first shown against Gueldre it was an absolutely disgusting mess of pixels but now it actually looks like paint and the creatures he summoned also had a similar look to them. I hope they manage to do justice to the double page with all of the painted creatures in the Shadow Palace.

Anego's fight took place indoors in relatively small rooms and Julius' fight was fairly contained as well since they didn't really move away from the rooftop. Julius' fight was probably pretty short too since no one made it there in time to help, but I guess that's not going to stop them from putting a lot of effort into it.

That was just Noelle psyching herself up and only worked because Kivn was weaker than her. If she was fighting Wevil right now he would've shattered her armor much like he withered Charla's briars. In fact the way that Charla managed to interfere with Sol's magic with her mana alone could be seen as a parallel to what Noelle is doing there.

Doesnt matter she has full control over the state of her water.
Not to mention her water armor is condensed water meaning it would be much colder.

I'm looking to read something like this, but I recently saw Akame ga kill and My Hero Academia and with both I was constantly predicting what would happen.

A little predictability is fine, but with Akame ga Kill particularly I was skipping ahead constantly because I knew how something would turn out and I just wanted to get to the end of that plot point.
