This anime is a nightmare of name dropping. It doesn't help that Funi is fucking retarded with the subs and anytime there's text telling you who a character is, those subs are clustered with what's being said at the time. I have to pause it anytime a character is introduced so I can figure out which is the subs for their intro and which are the subs for the dialogue.

When you start watching it you're expecting it to tell the story in a certain way. It doesn't, which is annoying at first, but then you just go with the flow and start enjoying it for P.A. Work's patented character interactions and the atmosphere.
The story has been getting more interesting, but it's not the main appeal for me.

Late answer, but the other user is right that the first episode give a bad impression. Dialogues and world-building are presented in an awkward way and the show throws names and organizations at you to everyones confusion. Later on it will make more sense, an actual interesting plot crystalizes itself, character interaction is fun and there are some well-animated fight scenes. 3D monster still look like shit.
It's still not amazing, but it does get better.
