Anyone Finish this series? Jesus christ what a confusing show, made it halfway through episode 4 and dropped it. I can usually power through a sub par series but this show puts the icing on the cake.

Read the books, maybe we'll get some new novels if they sell well, too.
sounds like someone's a brainlet and got filtered
I might do just that, seemed like a decent concept but just a shitty anime adaptation
You can barely tell some of the characters apart
haha more like boogieFLOP
I dropped the show somewhere after vs. Imaginator pt 1 ended and just bought the omnibus and started reading them.
I'll be frank, there is a LOT of shit that does not translate well at all to anime and there are numerous things in the anime that doesn't seem to make much sense, but is explained in the book (I suppose one such example is "Fear Ghoul").
That being said, IMO, the ending for a lot of the novels end kinda anticlimactically.
Did you have a hard time imagining how Boogie's wire looped around the Manticore's neck at the climax, too? Did Kei trip on the same wire that cut off the Manticore's hand, only for it to magically loop around her neck?
boogiepop does not sell
Boogiepoppu
I miss the weekly comfy threads and IMAGINEposting.
It's AOTY
Already watched it 2 times
>confusing
(AKA "I don't get it)
>subpar
Don't worry user. This is why my hero academia is coming back for you yearly
>confusing
>subpar
lol...and people wonder why we keep getting generic battle shounen, harem romcom and isekai stories back to back to back to back to back to kill me
I didn't drop it, neither really like it or dislike it, it was ok but overall i didn't really understand shit.
that shit is a pretentious piece of garbage
I dropped that after episode 2
it's not worth the "4 episodes test"
I liked it
>OPM 2 died for this
Based Natsume choosing the superior anime
More like BoogiePOOP haha.
Season 2 when
In the Winter 2000 season
The novels are not confusing at all, but the anime absolutely butchered the first novel making it really hard to follow. The timeline is hard to follow due to flashbacks not being clarified and some events being rushed through at lightning speed, and characters are hard to keep track of thanks to bland designs. To be fair I didn't watch past like episode 6, so I don't know if it got any better.
The second storyline is less confusing to follow in the anime because of its more linear nature, but overall it's adaptation was still sub-par thanks to lots of key details being inexplicably changed.
Piece of shit for People insecure of their 3x3.on top of that they dropped something good like opm for this. Fuck boogieflop.
The Wagner scene was really nice.
Fuck you all
It was good and I had fun with the comfy threads
The anime did get a bit better but only because of the At Dawn arc. The Overdrive arc didn't have that much impact since they messed up adapting the first volume.
Are the Seven Seas omnibus of the books worth picking up?
>STARWAY TO HEAVEN
the absolute madman
stairway*
king of distortion has nice taste in music
I got the first one and it's pretty decent, worth picking up if you are interested in the series.
I want to fuck this bubble
POPPING BOOGIES BOOGIE
They made the anime achronological for art house points but wound up alienating half the audience. It doesn't help that the first anime was a massive clusterfuck that had a non-canon story. It wants you to unravel the stories like Momento but it isn't worth the effort and you don't care about any of the characters because they're never established unless you read the books or make it half way through the anime.
It was really shit, it got better for a few episodes then went straight back to being trash. Probably has the most full-of-itself fanbase on the board right now, though I'm pretty sure its literally just the same 3-4 guys because I'm already seeing their usual posts
Is this a fucking meme? How the hell is this show confusing? All the first arc had were fucking flashbacks.
Casting Yuuki Aoi as Boogiepop was a stroke of genius.
I unironically prefered the old anime. At least it had atmosphere and I was too busy trying to put everything in order to be bored of the plot. The new series is kinda lame. Enjoyed the first arc, maybe the second too but everything past that was pretty damn samey and bland. I honestly expected something more complex or philosophical after all of the hype from the readers. Maybe it's happening later in the novels, I don't know.
I dropped it after ep. 3 because it was too boring. It had almost 3 full episodes of building, although they purposely do it in a confusing and non-linear fashion with no real clarification just for a somewhat satisfying 5 minutes to end ep. 3. I figured if that was their blueprint I wouldn't stick around
It's not confusing, it's just bad.
Better than OPM
>nips liked it
>new novel is in top 10 best sellers
soon
Yea Forums is full of retards
I watched the first arc and thought it was fine. I was told it got better, but nope. Each arc was worse than the last. The only thing that kept me watching was I liked hearing Boogiepop's voice and looking at its smug face.
Which one should I watch first?
Just read the novels instead.
Only the 1st arc was rushed the rest was fine, at dawn arc was pure kino
>opmfags still seething
That's just sad
Did he die at the end or did he just hibernate as usual?
>expected some overlord 3 level CGI godzilla
>got KINO kaijuu by trigger
Based
Don't forget the AKKO FACES
Why are opmfags mad at this show?
