Some animals have multiple hearts. It wouldn't be particularly farfetched for a body to have a decentralized cardiovascular system, though I suspect that land animals may have trouble with de-synchronized hearts, or may have very thick blood vessels to handle backpressure.

If they were meant to have both, they would be drawn that way.
