Went in with zero expectations and really enjoyed it. Buying all the Seven Seas English releases to support it now.

I can't really agree with that. I liked the earlier battle harem parts well enough, but by the time it went full battle shounen it was a challenge to even finish the thing. I swear the last battle felt like it relied purely on asspulls and on characters making retarded, entirely nonsensical decisions. I wish I could give you a couple examples, but it's been so long that all I remember about those chapters is the rage.
