Actual game dev here. I could probably do a basic arpg MMO for about 3mil USD in 2 years. Acquiring rights to use Overlord characters and names would probably cost a few more mil as well, so there's that.

Basically, heteromorphs are the strongest but you will have trouble getting them to the top with all the penalties and you will always need to watch out for your weaknesses which takes gear slots away since you need to lessen the impact of it.
Humans have variety but are not good physically, demi-human is balanced though I don't know what an upper demi-human player would be like since it's build can't be higher than the other 2.

People always say they want an MMO like the ones in animus like .hack or Ygdrasil where they can do anything they want with no rules, but they dont realize how shitty that would be. Look at games like ARK, where people can do whatever they want. its not an RPG MMO, but its still a gigantic openworld map with players and factions that collect stuff to craft and build bases. Theres always two things that can happen.

#1-powerful clan sets up shop and runs the server like gangsters. Anybody that fucks with them gets steamrolled, and everyone knows to not fuck with them and how they run things.

#2-chinese or korean clans set up shop and have players online 24/7 that harvest the entire map like an insect swarm, and kill all the other clans/players to take their shit so they can spread to other servers and do the same.

ARK is like that because there are no skills, the world is too small and individual strength is too high
when there are multiple roles, a world literally too big to explore (nevermind conquer) and PvP gets various options instead of 1) die to a headshot, the game would be a lot more bearable

DLs and Wild Magic are native while Auto-translate is likely due to World Items. Talents and Martial Arts seem like a toss up in my opinion. On one hand, there are talents that make you learn tiered magic faster, on the other, Evileye's talent allowed her to use wild magic, something seemingly impossible using Yggdrasil's system.

What I'm curious about is why World Items cancel out Wild Magic. Is Wild Magic considered a psuedo-WI for some reason?
