Casshern is a good boy, he would never
I thought everyone else was out to KILL CASSHERN, DEVOUR CASSHERN
At what point does the main plot for this story get interesting?
last third? Honestly as much as I love the show it really does get a bit redundant for a couple of episodes somewhere around its middle part
This isn't a plot-focused anime.
CASSHERN WO KOROSE
CASSHERN WO KURAE
OH MY GOD I am just watching this right now. Leaving this thread to avoid any spoilers, but I'm here to say that I love and enjoy this anime a lot.
didn't think i'd ever see this show get brought up again.
now's as good a time as any to bring up a theory regarding the show's lore that i haven't seen discussed.
When the show open, we see that Casshern is being followed and attacked by robots who want to eat him in order to become immortal and stop decaying. This is brushed off as just a weird rumor that was going around and isn't really brought up again.
fast forward to the end of the series, and we see that princess Luna is able to grant eternal life by having people drink her blood. It's not quiet them eating her, but I've always wondered if those robots in the beginning were onto something...
What do you think would have happened if Casshern just gave them some of his blood instead of ripping them limb from limb?
I mean, the only character we see do anything close to eating him is when friender takes a bite out of him in his introduction episode, and later down the line there's another episode dedicated to how despite all logic, friender doesn't seem to be affected by the ruin.
I dunno, seems like Casshern butchered a bunch of robots for no reason when he could have saved them all...
food for thought I suppose.
NEE IMA DOUSHITE BOKURA UMARETA NO

That ain't chief
NEE HORA DOUSHITE BOKURA DEATTA NO
Oh hey, I'm halfway through it right now. Thought it was funny how you could instantly tell he's voiced by the same guy as Amuro, almost felt like it was intentional.
Anyone else also looks at the character designs for the humans and gets reminded of Code Geass?
Finally
Why is this show so underrated? Its not like there's even a barrier to watching it
Its a very heavy show that keeps staying heavy, and I think it may have come out at the wrong time.
I imagine if it came out today, people would eat its grim shit up.
It's very slow, heavy and, admittedly, repetitive. That leads lots of people to drop it on the same reason you see when it comes to all shows of this type: "it's boring ): "
Damn, user, I never thought about this. I suppose it's time to rewatch Casshern.
too slow for action fags, not cute enough for moefags and not nearly self-servicing enough for edgelords.
The point of the show was accepting you had to die, because immorality is literally why the world got to be as shitty as it was.
Casshern doing this is counter to the point that "Yeah death is scary and rotten, but a life that never ends can be just as worse."
the 00s (especially the first half) was way more brooding and "edgy" compared to the 10s, so i doubt that's true. if people these days really wanted to watch something like this they'd watch it, but nah people really just want shlock and tweeeests like got.
Thats what I mean.
It kinda got lost behind other shows with similar messages but had more flashy action.
Besides, the ending of Casshern is everyone dies except Casshern, Luna, Ringo, and Friender.
Thats a pretty big twist.
all those Yea Forums edits were great
>almost felt like it was intentional
It's intentional but for that reason. He's literally (Saint) Seiya
