Shokugeki no Failure

It was fucking MAYONNAISE. Mayonnaise and failure.

Fuck off, no one cares about this anymore.

How much longer until it gets axed and tosh can work on something good again?

I thought fighting foodons ended like 15 years ago?

We all wish it had.

let it die already. Went from practical dishes and some food info to dark and light chefs that can make a 3 Michelin dish that'll give you a food orgasm with ur piss and shit as the ingredients.

It's crazy how fickle people are. Even some of the worst manga/anime weren't dropped as hard as this one was by everyone .

First the Ketchup asspull, now Mayonnaise. What the fuck is wrong with Tsukuda and fast food condiments?

>It was fucking MAYONNAISE
That and ketchup is actually acceptable because Soma is the master of turning pleb food to gourmet.

Is it getting axed or nah.

>SnS ends next chapter due to the heavy orgy originated by Mana foodgasm
>SnS will continue in doujin format now
If only, but I give it 6 more chapters, 1 more for the reaction, 3 more for Erina vs Souma, 2 for the epilogue, the end is close.

I dropped this shit fucking ages ago, whenever the fuck they got on that stupid student council. I take it that it's not worth picking back up at all?

RdC had a LOT of potential, sadly the conclusion was fucking awful and send hundreds of chapters of character development to the trash, it was still pretty nice and Tosh did an actual amazing job during that arc, in any case you should read it for the art alone, but just stop once you end RdC, if you see it as an ending to the whole story it isn't that bad.

All hail mayonnaise

Isn't it Donair?

O MY DIJON MUSTARD is next

Its was LITERALLY, i mean LITERALLY a fucking mayonegg rice.

kneaded and folded and whipped 10,000 times.

Can we have Tosh back?>

It's Döner

This is the most precipitous decline I've ever seen in manga.

It's amazing, really. When a long-running manga goes down the shitter, you'll typically have a bunch of people begrudgingly stick with it anyways, even if sometimes it's only because of sunk-cost fallacy. Even just looking at this very series, people reluctantly put up with Azami's bullshit for years.

You have to fuck up really badly to get your readers to drop your manga en masse like with Shokugeki.

How the hell is "failure" the true star of the dish? Souma became good at cooking IN SPITE of his mother being bad at cooking, not because of it.

What happened? Did he lose a writer or something?

>tfw Tsukuda might as well be saying that Souma never learned anything of value at Totsuki with how frequently he falls back on muh diner experience

>adds one ingredient like Ketchup
>amazing work Soma you're a genius!
Should probably wrap this manga up ASAP.

Attached: 1527152033037.webm (410x402, 41K)

The rumors say that chef-san got pregnant and have stopped working on this manga for a while already.

Believeing in rumours is even more stupid than actually reading Shokugeki no Soma.

Tsukuda is just that bad of a writer.

I unironically enjoyed this chapter.

I bet you chug mayonnaise.

Just give me a conclusion of this worthless match and then one last final chapter to end this.

This poor sad thing can be put down in 2 chapters tops, just relieve it from its misery.

>the secret to good cooking is convenience store items and condiments

Didn't Souma had to move on from this way of thinking to improve himself and his cooking? Why are we back to a formula that had already been proven to be flawed, why bring the 500% of a lv 1 food if you can bring the 500% of a lv 5 food.

So O MY DINER'S WISDOM and O MY MOTHER'S LOVE defeated O MY COOKING NEN.

youtube.com/watch?v=saU3_xJJrCg

>whenever Souma reveals the ace up his sleeve for his current dish, it's usually something he picked up by cooking mundane shit in his family diner
>other chefs like Takumi and Ryou ALSO worked in common restaurants as children
>they never pull anything similar out of their ass the way Souma does
I don't get Tsukuda.

>I won because my parents loved me. You lost because your mother was a crackwhore and now you're an orphan that nobody cares about.
Way to rub it in, Souma.

Nippon Ddners are number 1

How about a timeskip to the consequences of the Event handled in a small textbox. Mainly lots and lots of babies.

That's what Soma's cooking was always about, yes.

Based Soma shitting without mercy on the cancer inducing, manga killing, weirdly kidnapping, Asashi faggot

I understand that the idea is much like in any other shounen manga, in which whatever the hero does is underestimated. However, in a cooking manga the problem isn't simply that one type of food is low or middle class, but that Japanese Dinner food is packed with carbs and fats. It's just too much that no amount of study or skills will turn it into haute cuisine. Of course, there's the option of deconstructing it, and deliver the "core" of the dish in a different fashion (like the "Oyakodon" Erina made for the RdC Final Bout, which wasn't the actual dish, but French cuisine modelled to "emulate it"), but Tsukuda remains set on claiming than those types of food can be raised to the same level of high class dishes, however the ingredients simply don't allow for it. Think of Souma's appetiser in the RdC, that thing was far too filling to work as an appetiser or any dish in a course meal.

High class cuisine isn't about whether something is tasty or not, as any kind of dish can be tasty, but about delivering a variety of flavours in creative ways without making the people eating feel stuffed.

>This event has showcased a bunch of absurd cooking tecniques and superpowers, including chainsaw knives, explosives, guillotines, cheesegrater swords, okama drink shakers, the power to make clothes vanish, and a Nen ability that allows you to copy other superpowers if you meet certain activation conditions and win a knife.
>"Fried rice with mayonnaise? THAT'S UNPOSSIBLE!"
Seriously? You can't have characters call this relatively mundane thing ridiculous when all this other shit is going on.

Hey now, last chapter Souma briefly mentioned in one panel how studying at Tostsuki payed off.

Because they're pussies basically. That's the plot, Souma literally doesn't. Give a shit. His superpower is turning failures into successes.

atleast it was edible and not the burned rice of his mom

more
save us from the suffering that is SnS

This manga would be 100% better and more believable if Souma was american.

Did Asahi even really "lose"? Mana admitted to enjoying his dish and even showed it with stripping.
He's better than the majority of chefs already just by that alone. Hell, he can literally marry Erina and cook for Mana if Souma doesn't. Also, does Erina even stand a chance against these 2 at this point? Unless the point is for Erina to get on their level, she's not even close to their level and is an irrelevant final cookoff.

Asahi and dark chefs in general have an all or nothing personality

>Also, does Erina even stand a chance against these 2 at this point? Unless the point is for Erina to get on their level, she's not even close to their level and is an irrelevant final cookoff.
Souma will cook something that will lose to the judges but make erina happy

How? How the fuck would being American make Souma's bullshit any more plausible?

Last few chapters have been pretty entertaining, too bad it's too little too late.

Fair
Sounds stupid and underwhelming. Erina should already be happy with the results so far since her mother is physically putting food in her mouth and enjoying it. She should just give up now before the match even starts unless she believes she'll cook something her mother actually loves, which seems doubtful considering Erina's lack of confidence this whole arc.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that was a dig at American "food" "culture".

I wish we would get more information on how exactly Jouichirou and Tamako met, and how she saved him. Sadly we won't get anything much at this rate.

I'm so glad this shit crashed and burned.

love how this guy keeps associating Alice with anal

failure tastes like bara

Attached: sns.png (866x458, 365K)

>muh diner
>muh ketchup
>muh mayonaise
I get what he's saying but the constant obsessive focus on MUH UMAMI makes Souma irrevocably Japanese.

7 chapters

that has nothing to do with it

God I HOPE we see a pregnant Erina.

Tsukuda went off the deep end for sure but I think the quality (?) of the dishes also went down because chef went on maternity leave. Notice how there's less and less space devoted to how the person cooked the dish and what process they went by it, RdC had PAGES devoted to doing this. I guess Tsukuda brought in the chainsaws and bombs so that he can skip all of that, since no one can replicate it IRL

You didn’t even get to see their romance.

>SnS got popular because of the cocktease foodgasms, the creative dishes, the high-stakes academy events, and MC bonding with the main heroine
>these are all thrown out, toned down, or veered into bullshit territory in the final arc despite reader complaints
Why did Tsukuda do it?

well to be fair, there were some hints in previous arcs, but if they actually get paired now it'd be forced as fuck. tsukuda probably planned to develop it over time, but considering the shitfest it turned into, he'll just cram it at the end and call it a day. i mean, shounenshit rarely does romance well, but this'll be extra bad

He barely bonded with Erina until over a hundred chapters. Then it started to go to shit.

Attached: 1557433231990.jpg (495x811, 81K)

>there were some hints in previous arcs, but if they actually get paired now it'd be forced as fuck
All he had to do was continue building on what they had after RdC, I simply don't understand

He obviously planned the manga up until the stagiarie arc and just made shit up from that point on.

It started in Central arc and was one of its saving graces. At least for Japan, Yea Forums might have griped about Azami getting dumber and dumber but over across the pond they still liked it and the ratings were up

Asahi's electric boogaloo was when everything crashed

souma and co. became too powerful after the rdc, so apparently tsukuda decided that the only way to make new opponents is this over the top bullshit. which obviously backfired hard, because the manga became so bad that the central shit seems like a masterpiece in comparison.

>It started in Central arc
Yea, over a hundred chapters in.

My sides are in orbit. Nice one Tsukuda.

We didn't see the romance for NaruHina or Ichihime either.

>We didn't see the romance for NaruHina or Ichihime either.
We at least got confessions from one side in the actual manga and nice moments for both ships. Remember when Naruto lost his shit cause he thought Pain killed Hinata and Ichigo rose up from the dead for Orihime? When has Soma ever gotten that emotional over Erina? Hell, the guy got more angry over Megumi getting expelled. Tsukuda clearly wanted Erina to be endgame from the one-shot, but massively fucked it up somehow and didn't bother to give them really any moments at all.

in both of those the winner girls were gushing over the MC for a long time.

So basically the entire "saving" thing was just showing him that you can love cooking without having massive expectations

Just because Souma calls him Grandpa doesn't mean that he's his actual grandfather.

>Just because Souma calls him Grandpa doesn't mean that he's his actual grandfather.
user please

>epilogue
>souma doesnt end up with erina
>doesnt end up with anyone at all

How mad are you?

As a certain someone would say
>a good chef always carry emergency mayonnaise

But it's true, in Japan little kids will call any old person "ojii-chan" or "oba-chan".

In the past I'd say that I'd be fairly mad, but considering how shit this manga has gotten, I wouldn't even care at this point.

Maybe it was a bad translation and he just meant grandmother?

Hijikata would be proud
>youtube.com/watch?v=qnF_P4U7xBU

>But it's true, in Japan little kids will call any old person "ojii-chan" or "oba-chan".
yea but not all the time. the old guy is wearing a dark shirt so it looks like he works there. he could be her dad.

I'm just following it to see Souma and Erina's cute offspring.

>I'm just following it to see Souma and Erina's cute offspring.
it'll be a boy and look exactly like him. there.

>Last line of the Manga is baby Souma Jr. saying that Erina's breast milk tastes like shit.

And also Erina on deredere mode.

Even at the end of the series, Soma still has learned almost nothing from Totsuki, literally would have learned better if he had just stayed at the diner LMAO

who cares. her family and forced boo-hoo sad stories helped ruin this fucking manga. asahi who was created to bring her and souma together is the icing on this shitfest.

How many replies will the final chapter get before it falls off the page?

Depends on how it goes. If Soma x Erina end up happening then you can expect shippers and Erinafags to gather. If it's a normal open end then you'll just have people shit on it all the way through saying "thank god it's over" "now tosh can get back to hentai". The only ending that would give us a crazy reaction would be Soma ending up with someone else other than Erina.

I just want to see a trainwreck, I never imagined that my comfy cooking manga could fall so far.

I have to confess, that was a neat twist. Everyone tried to impress Nakiri with perfect taste and made her puke, but no one ever tried to fuck it up to make it tolerable.

one of the customers says joichiro is the grandpa's son-in-law
stop being retarded

Japanese-American then.

>MAYOEGG

>one of the customers says joichiro is the grandpa's son-in-law
so that's the moms dad.

>epilogue
>souma doesnt end up with erina
>instead he ends up with Asahi
Much better.

This doesn't make any sense, why'd Tsukada make Soma's mom be a 1:1 clone of him? For all we knew, Soma and Jochiro were basically the same type of person with the stupid recipes and all, needing a loved one to temper, bring them back. Why is his mother now suddenly filling in the same exact role? Lmao holy shit

Anyone else bummed how Soumamom was not only underwhelming, but get's less attention than fucking Mana despite fans waiting years for her reveal? What a shame.

Have you considered that perhaps Souma took after both his parents?

Maybe she should have tried to survive harder.

What does that have to do with anything? Do you suck Tsukuda's dick that hard?

It's a joke user. That's what it has to do with anything.

Lack of ideas.
Thing is that Souma was already stablished to look like his father, you either look like you father or like your mother, so Souma mom had a free card to look like anything the author wanted.

>you either look like you father or like your mother
I assume biology was not your strongest subject

Attached: 1500146024920.png (380x296, 75K)

>I assume biology was not your strongest subject
We're not talking RL. We're talking manga. A character either looks like his mom or dad, it's hardly ever a mix of both. Tosh was just uninspired and gave us whatever the fuck that's suppose to be. That's not even what she looked like in the beginning.

But I know about life and that's how it works, in any way, my only point is that Soumom could had looked like anything the author wanted, yet he went for the most bland possible look, not cool.

>A character either looks like his mom or dad, it's hardly ever a mix of both
That's not a hard and fast rule though, that's not a rule at all. Hell it's barely even a guideline. You are correct in that it's a common trope but that's all it is.

Tosh doesn't care about this series anymore. He just wants his check.

>It was fucking MAYONNAISE
god fucking dammit, let this shit die and let tosh get back to drawing porn

Attached: ZVUOcmz.jpg (1280x720, 85K)

Based.

>O MY MAYONNAISE
