user-kun, have you ever heard of Schrödinger's cat?
User-kun, have you ever heard of Schrödinger's cat?
No
kek, also please tell me about the trolley problem
Why yes, yes I have.
I don't remember him ever saying that.
i have been meaning to make a meme with the text "schrodinger's cat and laplace's demon are simple explanations for very advanced concepts, knowing them doesnt make you smart"
yet you probably just discovered them of course the concepts easy now after you had all it fed to you since its so common now but 20 years ago come talk to me brainlet you wouldnt have been able to figure shit out
>but 20 years ago
I would say there is a 50/50 probability he wasn't born yet.
>people who actually understand schrodinger's cat is criticism via reductio ad absurdum and not support of the copenhagen interpretation
Based.
No, it was a joke meant to criticize a huge problem with... oh that's what youre saying.
Are you telling me there's an anime that actually references Schrodinger's cat correctly?
Does that mean he was both born and not born back then, at least until you check his birth certificate?
Schrödinger's cat isn't an explanation of any kind. Its an attempt to do a quick argument against the idea that you can keep nonsense going on at the quantum level locked away from interacting with higher scale events.
Its _true_ that it doesn't make you smart, but that's because its now only relevant for the history of quantum mechanics, not quantum mechanics itself.
Laplace's demon is also more of a shorthand than an explanation of determinism, though that's closer to being true.
kys
first i gotta get some glasses that dont slide down all the time.
>these concepts are easy to understand now due to these examples
Schrodinger's cat is baby's intro to quantum mechanics
read this and get back to me, bitch
>reductio ad absurdum
A foreign concept here, that's standard baseline argument as far as Yea Forums is concerned.
> Not deriving the whole realm of physics by himself
I think the user that you replied to is probably a brainlet.
*immediately drops anime*
>tfw actually feel smart when i watch shows that have this
Just wait till an anime uses Schrödinger's cat inception.
>laplace
Where?
