Yeah, it does, but the weird pacing and plot issues in the second half have existed since it first came out. It's my 2nd favorite VN, so I really wish they would have been able to extend the 2nd bit in the remake. It's a shame it uses the same exact script as the dreamcast version.

The music is god-tier and the first part is good, but the end is a mess. Maybe it could have been better if there was more time, but it's not like it was the first time Kanno failed to wrap up a story properly. I haven't read any Abel works, but their reputation doesn't seem to be very good.

Writer is dead so they probably didn't want to make any major changes to the script. It's unfortunate the second half was rushed/unfinished but it is what it is.

It's got great atmosphere and colors, and the story is nice but not amazing.
It's worth playing for the novelty and music alone.
