Previously, Takashi and Manion were putting actual effort into studying for the high school entrance exams and both managed to pass. Mitsu, however, stormed out of the exams before finishing them. Shinya kicked his ass for it but promised him his FX if he got in on the second round which he, presumably, did.
At the same time Takashi met up with Shouko, who was worried that she might have trouble passing her exams, and decided that they'd start meeting up on the way to school in the mornings once they got in. On the last day, Shouko showed up and asked Takashi for all the buttons on his uniform so she could have them before other girls could get them. The two took a picture together as Takashi's time in middle school officially came to an end.
I appreciate the mix of somewhat romanticized nostalgia for the delinquent lifestyle of the author's youth and the reality that hey, they weren't necessarily viewed as all that cool by most people.
I definitely plan on doing all of it although maybe when the page count for chapters goes down I'll bump it up to two chapters per day instead of just one.
Also new Kenrantaru volume comes out next month so whenever that gets translated I'll probably have to dump that too.
