Well you see, unlike Yea Forums sings or Yea Forums draws most (all) of the work of okea is done off Yea Forums and the threads are just for posting releases and recruiting, the threads also tend to die pretty fast due to the above. We can't afford regular threads or it just becomes the same tired generals that everybody hates.

I'd try and record something if I were you, worst case you get some critiques and advice on how to play it better next time, it's very very very rare that someone's take gets discarded on the basis of being badly played or recorded

How do people feel about digital piano recordings? While it gets rid of the recording quality issue do people just assume it's cheating considering you can easily edit it?
Everything that made it to the final mix has been edited to hell and back so I don't think it really matters, just make sure to get a decent piano VST.

in this group it's generally considered more fun to not practice enough, record a questionable take and let the mixer edit it to sound usable
so by all means, if you too would find that fun, or if you want to play piano parts nicely even with a digital piano, try your hand at it
this is ultimately about having fun recording taiwanese flipbook music, no matter the means
mostly reaper but someone uses logic, someone used adobe audition, someone uses pro fools even, someone might use fruity loops or studio one, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear someone managed to mix stuff with audacity
