Highly doubt it. Araki doesn’t seem the sort to read Western fantasy novels and that character in particular didn’t show up in the show until season 2, well after Sasame’s first appearance.

Ok so; Makorin owns Morioh stadium, the Seiten Birdies and the block of condos that Kira and Sasame lived in. Damo’s group operated out of the stadium and even sold Rokakaka to Seiten Birdies players. Do you think it’s possible Damo worked either for or with Makorin? Dani was planning on murdering the Higashikatas and stealing their identities to gain ownership of the business, but it might have been a joint effort since it’d give Makorin control over the Higashikata land at long last. Not to mention Sasame, he set up the trap in Kira’s apartment ‘coincidentally’ around the same time he died, and 3 days later Josuke showed up at his condo and fell for the trap. Perhaps he was actually cooperating with Damo through his connection to Makorin and grudge against Kira, and Sasame was posted to Kira’s condo to kill Kira or Josefumi I’d they escaped and tried to grab anything before fleeing? Now that Damo is dead and their allies who were going to get the Higashikata property for them are unaccounted for, Makorin and Sasame have to do it themselves.

Theoretically they’re back in the US, but D4C died with Valentine so no one can make use of Love Train anymore. That said it’s possible they’re still under the Higashikata properly, which is why the equivalent exchange effect happens there. Did you even read the chapter? He exchanged his wife’s disease, but it entered his son. He then realised it would always go to someone important to him (ie equivalent) so he exchanged it from his son directly into himself, saving them both.

I'm up for localization when it comes to manga way more than I am for anime. The anime dubbing and subbing industry is cancer because they changed the source material. It helps that most of the manga publishers now are either owned by the OG Japanese publishers or based and snap up niche manga that's popular in the online manga circles. This. Viz is co-owned by both Shueisha and Shogakukan so they aren’t gonna butcher the source material at all, but fuck me are they slow. I’ve been buying the hardcover volumes of JoJo since 2016 to support both Araki and Viz so they keep releasing them, but fucking hell they take their damn time. We’re only onto volume 1 of Diamond is Unbreakable, which means we’ve gotten 30 tankobon’s worth of the series 124 and growing tankobons translated in 4.5 years.

He’s walking but on his broken ass legs. He’s threading his legs back together slowly but whether he can fix it permanently or not is unknown at this point. His ability does let Araki go all the way with his gore though.

He bursted into treats however many chapters ago and was fine afterwards too. Araki's gotten less and less worried about permanent wounds. Though saying that, Rai is still missing some fingers from the UG fight.

I think Rai’s ability makes it easy to draw the level of gore he wants to without long term consequences. That’s why it’s Rai getting severely fucked up in every fight since his introduction and no one else. Lets there still be narrative tension with the others not being able to survive those hits but also lets Araki draw the gore he needs to draw to remain young.

That’d be pretty cool.

I’ve been reading The Girl from the Other Side that they publish though, that’s a neat series. I like Vertical a lot too, they did the master editions of Blame! (which are oriented the correct way) and are publishing Aki Irie’s new series Go With the Clouds, North-by-Northwest, which kinda feels like a fusion of Stardust Crusaders and JoJolion but harder on the mystery angle than the action angle. Also coincidentally has titties in it, so that’s pretty based.

Kars was boring, Dio wasn't 100% evil, Kira wasn't 100% evil, Diavolo wasn't 100% evil, Pucci wasn't 100% evil, Valentine is one of the most relatable antagonists despite his misdeeds.

Cioccolata and Angelo are the closest thing but they are just over the top and they are not a main antagonists.
I think that creating genuinely evil antagonist and actually making him interesting character is the hardest challenge for a writer.

There just isnt alot of demand for villains that lack nuance anyway.

They don’t know about the Higashikata ground’s effect. Besides, even if they did it’s hard to monetise a cursed garden. The new Rokakaka has the same effect as the Higashikata grounds only it’s not tied to a place, it’s a new species of plant so it can be grown elsewhere too. It’s portable and has growth potential, which the grounds aren’t. That’s what makes it so valuable even if they knew of the grounds. Also Urban said that the Rokakaka is more compatible with Rock Humans than it is humans, and that it would bring far more to their kind than humanity. So clearly they’re interested in how it works on them given what it was able to do to just normal humans. And Kira probably wasn’t aware Holly researches the Rokakaka, it doesn’t seem like something that Satoru Akefu would want too many humans knowing about. It was a secret project at the hospital and Kira, while a doctor, doesn’t work at TGU.

It seems aimless with no compelling villains this far in and every time you read through a long multi chapter fight it degenerates into another monster of the week fight, the only thing that changed was the characters moved further down the street

I’m honestly impressed, the subtleties in JoJolion seem like direct fuck you’s to the people who’ve said he can’t write a coherent story all these years. Every chapter it becomes clearer and clearer that he actually does know what he’s doing with JoJolion, there was just a metric fuck ton of setup to do before getting into the meat of the plot and he also decided to rise his detractors. As long as he doesn’t fuck up the ending with all the plot lines coming together and all these characters actually get complete, thematically relevant arcs, JoJolion is going to be a true classic. So by the time we get a chapter title that implies the end is near like that SBR title, we’ll know there’s still more than 3 years left to go. It’s probably a flashback chapter showing what Ojiro has been doing since chapter 6. Why he’s in London we’ll have to wait and see. Part of the Milagro Man chapters were set in Hamburg in a flashback so it’s not like single chapter flashbacks to Europe haven’t happened in JJL already.

That part actually happened 13 minutes before the harvest, then flashed back to 7 days before. So Norisuke is still alive as of the point in time last chapter ended (with 5 days to go). Still kind of an odd choice on Araki’s part but I guess he’s got something cool in mind for whatever Tsurugi is up to and wants to hype it up. The countdown started in chapter 72 at 12 days and now at the end of chapter 85 there’s 5 days left. If this pace continues we’ll reach 0 in chapter 97, but I think he’ll probably have it hit 0 in chapter 100 just for the hype alone. Then the finale can begin which will probably take us all the way to chapter 150.

Or he might be still barely alive and they’re going to exchange him with Tsurugi, since back in the first Yotsuyu chapter Norisuke told Josuke that if an alternative cure for Tsurugi wasn’t found then he’d be willing to do the exchange himself instead of Jobin or Mitsuba having to do it.

This is probably the area near the Higashikata fruit parlor. If you look in chapter 33 when they go there to check on the rokakaka it looks like it has similar looking arches. His eyes aren’t split but they do have the triangles Diavolo has. There aren’t any other fused people (yet) because that requires the new breed of Rokakaka, of which only two have ever existed at this point and both were eaten by Kira. He’s interested in the Rokakaka though since it can fix his fingers.

Yotsuyu also had Diavolo triangles, so I don't think it means anything.

You mean the Wall Eyes? The New Rokakaka’s power is to transfer injuries between people.

It requires both. The Wall Eyes transfer injuries between people as well, it’s why they can exchange the Higashikata curse. On its own the Wall Eyes haven’t been shown to do what happened to Josuke, they just exchange injuries or in healthy targets like the fruit Kyo buried just random parts. The new Rokakaka does the same thing but the two together are what made Josuke.

The fruit fusion and the Josuke fusion were very similar.
