power levels escalated too fast and everyone got left in the dust besides naruto and sasuke. Part 1 and the first third of shippuuden is the best it had to offer

it has high highs although the majority of it is meddling in terms of quality, tons of filler, asspulls, and the lows are really low. The plot becomes shit after pain too. No one truly hates naruto other than the regular fags who hate everything but it missed out on how good it could have been.The end was just insulting

Mifune vs Hanzo was awful. It completely ruined the massive hype Hanzo got and made him look as badly portrayed as some Edo Akatsuki members like Deidara, Sasori, or Kakuzu.

Post-timeskip we lost all cohesion int he worldbuilding and themes. We also had to deal with upgrades splintering the power scale so much that relative feats became unrecognizable and a lot of cool content became retroactively tamer or less impactful.

That said, Shippuden had some of crazy hype moments - including some of the best fights in all of anime. I won't say it was worth it, but that's the exchange that was made - all the heart and intrigue was given away for big moments of drama and action.

The thing about narutotards is that we do watch alot of anime , the fact that we sank hundreds of hours into one series should clearly indicate that.

I do say Shippuden managed to reign in the power creep a bit at times, when Sasuke just defeated Itachi and had a whole ass full of OP shit, him getting his ass beat by Killer B was the greatest shit in the world.

yeah well, sort of, but for a sekond I though Sauce had been dissintegrated and that made me happy, it was also a really sweet ability, among others introduced in the 5 kage battle that really mixed the cards for future power rankings.
It was relatively consistent from that point onwards until the previous generation of Kage were resurrected and basically retconned the future generations into becoming weaker and weaker instead of stronger.

I remember the first Kage battle where 3rd Hokage had to stop Minato from being resurrected at all cost, since as 4th Hokage he was presumably better than the 3rd, while he could just about deal with the 1st and 2nd.

my sister had a really expesive one, but I preferred the Anbu aesthetic as a kid

Naruto did a good job showing what flashy wizard fights would look like. Everyone in the show except Lee and Sakura were magical fight monkeys, and I'm okay with that.

That was the point. This wasn't the same Hanzo who declared Jiraiya, Orochimaru and Tsunade the Sannin. This was a Hanzo who, driven by paranoia shut himself off and began hoarding his assets and not keeping up with his training. This was a broken down version of him, who's will was dull and muddled.

Hard work overcoming inadequate talent is a theme of the show, but let's not act like it was ever a core part of Naruto's character specifically. It fleetingly applied to him in the first couple arcs, but it was apparent very early on that Naruto was the most gifted of his generation. His schtick was always about 1) unyielding persistence and 2) teamwork.

agreed. I always loved the well choreographed and animated stuff like Kakashi vs Obito in the kamui realm and the non-"let's throw bullshit techniques at each other and talk for ten minutes and remember shit that gets in the middle of the actual fight" during the Naruto vs Sasuke

too many of the fights were more talking than action and it got really annoying when most of the war arc was shit dialogue and plot holes

despite that I think that the best fights in the series are some of my favorite fights in anime.

Side Note: Love Naruto, don't know why. Probably nostalgia? Related to kid Naruto being ignored by his peers for being loud and obnoxious cause GOD I was an attentionfag in elementary and middle school and had very few friends because of it. Didn't get friends by getting strong and saving the village though, just stopped being a faggot. The show's kinda stupid and cheesy at a lot of the points but I kinda think that's why I like it for some reason

No, I did and still do unironically have a love for part 1, and even some parts after the timeskip. Objectively, however, most of it I found fucking terrible even at the time. It wasn't the fans, it was Sasuke, the degrading art, the stupid plot, and the failure of utilizing side characters.
