Hell, so far anti-magic really isn't even a 'magic' of its own (which is probably the point). Asta has never cast anything to use it, its all bound in the swords. From what I gathered the only reason he can use them and others can't is both his physical strength and having zero mana (bypassing the weakness of the using any of the swords).

The closest thing to casting a spell of any kind Asta has done is probably summoning his own grimiore at all, or at will change his swords. And I guess his black form but that still isn't really a spell.

He will become partially demonized. Tabata this time takes Takumis development from AgK. Basedbata always using the best of other shounen like a madman.

Other things to note is that Astaroth is an Archdemon associated with the Qliphoth (adverse forces) in Kabbalstic texts who fight against the Sefirot. The Sefirot are the 10 Elves (Light, Liar, etc) in Black Clover and if Tabata continues with the trend there are 9 more Qliphoth (Archdemons)

Astaroth in the Qliphoth was noted to be the Demon of Devourers; One who eats at the substance and thought of creation (Which is Mana in Black Clover). So there is that stuff.

I just read the first volume of Black Clover. I'd like to know if the rest is worth it. My opinion of it wasn't very high as of now.
Pros: Good art, good paneling, good pacing. At a macro level, you can see this was written by someone who has some experience with manga. Asta's optimism is very palpable, his sword's abilities are potientially interesting. The grimoire aesthetic is cool, so are the capes.
Cons: I hate the character designs. I hate that all of the characters (besides Asta, they're all one-note and it seems the author will abuse their gimmicks a lot). I also wish Asta wasn't so naively good-guy, specially with Noelle, the younger kid at the church, and people who look down on him. Asta's motivation is generic and vague. A lot of things are generic, actually. The setting is uninteresting. What the fuck was Noelle's sudden change of character.
tl;dr It's surprisingly solid but I've read so much similar stuff I'm having trouble caring for it and I would like to know if it gets more original. Thanks in advance, BChads.

Sorry for that being so sloppy, I hope you get the idea.

The anime is super bad about one-noting the whole black bulls squad, outright cycling through each member for their one note gag reactions, but the manga gets better real fast about it. Gauche of all people is the first person to get an upgrade and then the next several volumes are all side-character centric, with asta there to be the lynchpin in some teamwork based plan.
