how many more fucking chapters until ippo starts fighting again? everyone knows its just a matter of time
Hajime no ippo
>everyone knows
If you had told me, around the time when Ippo's title fight against Sendo was originally released, that Ippo would never have a proper match with Miyata and retires after having completely lost the ability to box and being screened for potential brain damage, I would not have 'known' that you were right. I would have called it absolutely retarded nonsense. NOTHING is guaranteed in this manga.
I hope it's after/actually is the full Sendo fight we've been missing out on for years now.
He's retired, coach will need to be assassinated by Mexicans for there to even be a chance of him to come back.
I give it 50-70 chapters more. We need something tragic or stupid to happen first
I can't believe this is still going
Now that Ippo is out of the picture and occasionally just screaming from the audience we can read about all the actually cool characters like Sendo, Volg, Mashiba or even Kimura
cuck
Ippo hasn't progresses as a character in forever, it's just better for him to take the sidelines over all these other characters that are actually still competing, that's just something you'll have to cope with.
Hopefully never, Miyata can go get fucked, he had the chance to sate his Ippp fight boner but he threw it away and now he wants him to risk brain damage
It's so fucking pitiful watching Miyata try to coax Ippo into boxing again despite it clearly being his decision
his biggest problem is his girlfriend. even my sister find her annoying as hell.
she's just helping him maintain the promise he made to everyone including his mother, she's painted as crazy in the manga but the real assholes are the guys constantly prodding a boxer who quit over fear of having his body ruined forever.
personally I think she just use that as excuse to be selfish. yes she wants the best for him but in the end deep down that's all about herself.
Are the people who are completely disrespecting Ippo's decision much better? I do think her intentions are not entirely pure but the manga is clearly very biased in portraying only one side as complete assholes.
I think both are the same they take advantage of ippo when he is still not sure of himself and manipulate him to go in the direction they want. but didn't his girlfriend is the main reason the made him consider about quitting and making that promise in the first place?
Shut up Itagaki, no one likes you.
Sure, but he's not really quitting just because he promised it to his not gf, he's scared for his health and doesn't want to cripple himself or worse die and leave his aging mother alone. She pushed him to an ultimatum but it's not like she's the sole reason he's never considering boxing again, and I think that makes a lot of sense given she probably watches her brother return half dead from his boxing matches every other month.
She's obsessive, but I think it makes a lot of sense and isn't all that misguided, it's just the author paints her with a dark aura and evil eyes.
you guys remember this plot thread?
The whole series lives inside a bubble, Ippos retirement was only to delay the events even more.
When are they gonna fuck?
Manabu is a yandere, we all know this.
well I do agree with you to some extent but I think the force that push ippo to quit is the promise. he at that time still not sure about that himself. he made that promise because he still thinks there is a chance he will win (well I think at that time deep down he was sure he would win). I do agree that what she did is understandable but to take advantage of someone condition for your own selfishness and not really admitted that is unacceptable which I think both party are guilty of. well I hope things go in better direction soon. being a control freak is what doom relationship so hope she realised that soon.
yeah, I'm not going to argue she's some angel, there is clearly a core of selfishness to her actions even if currently they are working in the best interest of Ippo.
All that really ticks me off is that George simplifies the character completely by overly drawing her like a menacing villain and just having her snap at everyone talking about boxing, when it could have far more nuance based on her background as a Nurse and sister to a boxer. It just feels really cheap.
I'm excited for two years of Hajime no Takeshi.
>how many more fucking chapters until ippo starts fighting again?
Depends on how long for someone to show up and tell him to learn some fucking defense.
>b-but muh ultimate head bobbing
well that's how some women are in real life(judging from most of friends relationship and what my sister told me). but yeah the author might goes a bit too far. any way thanks I haven't had a nice discussion in quite a while.
Remember when they said that Sendo was just as strong as Ippo but his biggest problem was that he couldn't block for shit? Now he's higher up in the rankings than Ippo and has far better fights because his super is safe on block.
She could have more nuance, but people forget that she and Mashiba lost their parents. The girl straight up fears losing people close to her.
When mashiba eventually jobs in the world she's going to go into overdrive.
Za warudo Itagaki? Yeah. I'm also glad Itagaki got BTFO by fuzzy eyebrows guy.
Kumi should kills Kamogawa.
I was hoping that delinquent would, but instead he's just new comic relief recruit.
she should kill herself.
Mashiba actually grew in leaps and bounds in the last chapter. He's not going to job just like that, at least not for no good reason.
I hope so too, but at the same time I think at least a couple of known boxers are going to job to Mexicans to maintain them as a threat, and as Mashiba just got over his attitude in the ring and grew as a character, the writer might more inclined to stop giving him fights.
I just hope Sendo won't be the one to get beaned, but he and Miyata are still in the same weight class and I doubt George will put Miyata on the block.
He's also the closest to Ippo's style of boxing so also far more prone to being executed so that Ippo can show how he evolved their style. It would be a shame because Sendo is the coolest.
Just turn it into Hajime No Sendo or Hajime No Volf or something already
What is even left for Volg? Give the kid a break, he's suffered enough.
I dunno, maybe 50 more or something like that
>Kimura
That's his shtick, he's a very mediocre boxer who barely gets by with experience. He's not a good boxer but he's a decent character with a lot to prove.
