Just because characters are unlikeable doesn't mean a manga is bad.

Only applies if the story is good, and this one isn't. In a romcom it's the characters who define the quality, and KO fucks up badly on that front.

But the characters are well written. Look at how the manga portrays Chizuru's amazing acting and Mami's cunning without a drop of exposition. You're just uncomfortable with a romcom being more than pure sugar. I suggest you go back to reading Bokuben where they beat you over the head what the characters are and how they develop.

There isn't a single thing here that isn't enjoyable. And the fact that this does not include characters that have come to a close (Natsuki Yakumo is probably the worst) adds to the charm.If there is one complaint to make about the show it's that it has some of the worst sex scenes ever. But why? Because if I'm at the edge of my seat talking about sexual content, this isn't it. It is a series that gets a lot of points for its depiction of sex. And it's the sex that brings out so many more in this series. We get so many great scenes in this, all with the same sexual themes, but no matter what we're talking about it always turns out. In one scene in particular the two women are having sex under the stars because it's one of the first times ever the stars have actually come up to the bed naked, and both want it so bad. I don't know what made them do this when this show first started airing but when they started doing that at the end of the series their lovers began to bond even more. It's great that the erotic novel market has finally taken off and is starting to grow again. I'm so proud to have been a part of it. I think I'm on the verge of getting an offer from a huge publisher to make a new book called 'Sex, Drugs, Videogames and Porn'. I'm getting close - to cumming.
