If we want to get into symbolism, it seems the white butterflies that were flying around Shigeru when his aunt pushed him off the cliff could mean good luck and that there's something devine watching over you. I think Shigeru is going to survive. Also, added on to the fact that Oshimi likes happy resolutions. I have a funny feeling that if mommy feels threatened enough by Shigeru's regaining consciousness, especially if Shigeru starts claiming he was pushed by someone, she might try to frame the incident on her son.
Think about it, he is a child. If a child out of frustration or anger pushes his cousin it is not treated equally by a criminal jury as if an adult did it, meaning she might try to get two flies with one hit. Such an act would cause Sei to become either institutionalized or further socially handicapped and she would have secured her son as an eternal patient in need of further motherly affection to monitor his emotionally unstable tendencies, as she might try to sell it. I wouldn't be surprised if she tried to ghostlight an already functioning Shigeru as well into thinking it was Sei who pushed him off.
