Last time, it was New Year's. Takashi had changed his look up considerably and was now a full-fledged member of the gang. He also seemed to have caught the attention of a girl in his class named Shouko Ishikawa. During a parent-teacher meeting, the school's guidance counselor basically called Takashi a poseur that he wasn't a true delinquent so he needed to drop the act and worry about getting into high school.
It didn't seem to really stick however and while he and Mitsu were finishing up customizing Gerako's bike Shinya came by and their whole plan to hide the bike from him fell apart... but in the end he didn't seem to care as he had more pressing issues. At a meeting at Mako's, they were introduced to Ayase who imparted on them that they needed to step up since most of the upper level ZEROS members had been hauled in by the cops. While this was going on Takashi talked to Kazuya and was surprised at the fact he actually worked to get the money for his CB400F. And at the gathering a few days after New Year's the snow began to fall.
Damn user I didn't know someone was dumping Bakuon Rettou. Fucking crazy how little tracting this gets even when dumped. Hope you keep doing it. This series deserves all the recognition it can get.
Unfortunately, as someone who loves Tsutomu Takahashi and wants to read this manga, I can't follow the read-along because I'm already pissed Sidooh will never fully be translated in my lifetime. I don't want to wait years for this to be finished. Rather start reading when it's done.

Kind of understandable. It's a slow burning slice of life drama starring a bunch of delinquents and characters and a lack of overly cute/moe girls although Takahashi can definitely draw cute ones even Shinobu is kind of busukawaii. Plus it's early on.
In all fairness this series is almost done. I think there's only a few chapters (maybe a volume?) left to be translated.
More frustratingly, there's Shin Bakuon Rettou in Young King Bull which is, I think, new side stories. Frustrating because I don't think anyone will TL.

A lot of Tsutomu's manga have translations started but get constantly dropped so I'm just cautious at this point and trying to learn Japanese instead (or maybe French, they translate all his stuff). I want to read everything he's done but at the pace Bakuon Rettou gets translated I expect 2020 to come before it's finished. English sites still haven't even acknowledged the new Bakuon Rettou chapters exist so those will probably never get translated.

I've only seen it brought up once or twice in delinquent threads and Takahashi will post about a new chapter when it's published. I think it only comes out every few months since there's only like 5 or 6 chapters going by his twitter but it's definitely new stuff.
Pic related. It's definitely side stories considering Shinji left the gang long before the end of the series.
I thought all the Bakuon Rettou stuff he posted on instagram was just stuff about the reprint. Going by that pic then yeah it's just side story stuff. But it looks exactly the same as original Bakuon Rettou, his style hasn't changed one bit it seems.

Nah, the art style's definitely different now. It's still recognizably him but it's gotten a lot sketchier and looser. It's a far cry from the heavy brush strokes present in this and actually looks more in line with the earlier chapters of Tetsuwan Girl.
