The writers of this show are clearly intent on using Beatrice just as a device to build up the plot of “why exactly the fuck is everybody here at this school?”, and the reason why I’m guessing they chose her in particular for this is because she’s well acquainted with Roswaal (the teacher). Felt doesn’t even know who the fuck Roswaal is.

She has a personality beyond abrasive, that description fits Ram more so than Beatrice desu. She doesn’t act like a cunt towards people who don’t actively go out of their way to agitate her (which Subaru does frequently), and even her demeanor towards him is more tsun than actual spite.

It's an improvement overall. The middle is just a bit inflated - and focuses on Darkness, whose main gimmick is quickest to get old - but otherwise it's solid and has some really fantastic jokes, as well as starting to develop the characters a bit. The animation is also even better.

It's so he has to deal with the consequences of his actions user. It's necessary to become a better person.

The IQ world is different, hence Demiurge pointing out how weird the balance is. That said Tanya is probably nearly equivalent to a top tier player given her skills, but her body itself is still heavily restricted by its limitations.

Even if the orb itself is a high tier WCI Tanya's body can't hold on that long thanks to the orb's drawbacks. Kazuma's team turns him into the comedian while usually he gets to be the straight man. That flip in roles were some of the best gags in Konosuba so it works here. That's part of the reason his group is the best, plus the nature of the gags can get sharper thanks to Demi and Tanya being who they are.
Meanwhile they have room to set up a meta gag on top of a call back gag where everyone in the class starts to feel bad for Kazuma who has to be the leash for the Konosuba girls - then have a callback with Subaru and the whole suffering conversation on the roof.
Even though every cast has gags, Konosuba is the only straight comedy among the isekai.
