Her entire arc was hard to watch. Poor girl ended up with a torn-apart childhood because of one extremely shitty grandfather who just felt like ruining his wife's and daughter's lives for the sake of his pride. A similar thing happened in my family, and it hit too close to home.
I'm just glad Aiko is doing fine now. Poor girl deserves to be happy after all that suffering.

At least her parents weren't forced apart by family, with her having to choose who to stay with. Still, her mother having a stroke in the novels was pretty damn heavy, along with her career crumbling and journalists spreading rumors about her being in erotic gravure shots. This series just loves it when young magical girls suffer.

Yes, a lot of things happen - Hazuki gets cyber-bullied (including a rumour being spread about her and Masaru caught leaving a love hotel), Aiko decides to go for a career in Olympics and breaks up with Anrima, we are introduced to Hana's secret twin sister, and Onpu gets stalked by a crazy fan. A lot of this is still untranslated, though.
