how is madoka remotely christian inspired? I can only think of the sacrifice followed by power up thing but that exists in every mythology. I don't remember this being discussed in any threads, though I avoided them like a plague when some tripnigger started ruining everything

The whole show is pretty much based on Faust, a play about Chirstian morality Episode 7 has really strong Christian ideas and symbolisms, most obvious being the scene when Kyoko offers Sayaka an apple which she rejects. Episode 12 is 100% Jesus in the form of a potato, the dialogs, the follow up where she visits the girls (with ave maria playing in the backround) I mean episode 12 is so blatant that i am kinda surprised you can't understand it Maybe you don't have enough knowledge about Christianity to connect the dots
