I wasn't complaining about the manga. The manga ending sets everything to where the Second Impact never happened. Things have changed and even though none of the things they did ever happened now, it at least hints that Shinji may remember something (even if it's just the feeling Asuka invokes in him) and that they now finally have a chance to move on and live like regular kids. It's kind of nice in a way. Not my cup of tea, but I'll still drink it.

I was complaining about what I fear Rebuild of Evangelion 3.0+1.0 will be. With a title like that, it implies that the fourth film's ending will lead back into the beginning or some shit like that. If they go the manga ending, that's lame because it has already been done, but if it just loops back into the first scene of the anime/movie, then that's just a cop-out so Anno doesn't have to give the characters an actual ending.
