Hop on the SnK bandwagon friend, you get magic flesh mechs instead

Can sell toys if you do.

?
Naruto had war and it's not mecha.

Because you search for mecha anime only.

and they all have the same unoriginal "war is bad" message too

To ne fair isnt the.message dont be a nazi. Well space nazi in.this case. I can handle the space nazis but the message that war is bad gundam tries to shove down my throat is tiring 1st season ibo was great but because of war is bad. 2nd seadon had to shit on them. Thank god for AU

Exia is such a sexy machine.

That's kinda Gundam's thing. Macross doesn't have that message at all.

because it looks cool
IBO was horseshit all around. Nothing but squandered good ideas/concepts

Oh necause.it has an entirely different message. Got to sell cds
2nd season squandered it.

? The 2nd season got it back on track after the shitshow that was season 1.

>S1=lets fight for our freedom and place to live
>S2= yeah no get shit on. Revolution is bad. Choclate man is retarded "we had a place all along". Fucking einz and the blue being hypocrites. Hooray for status quo
You can't be serious.

S1 was about the kids freeing themselves = good, then embarking on a stupid quest that has nothing to do with themselves and got a bunch of people killed for nothing = bad.
S2 was about the consequences of the above catching up with them, and realizing that they shouldn't have overstretched themselves.

Season 1 squandered it after episode 3. The only decent segments of IBO are the first 3 episodes and maybe the Mobile Armour fight episode(s) from season 2 (due to neat world-building implications). Even then the entirety of IBO is a huge waste of good-looking mecha designs since it's animated on a budget of peanuts and a staff of interns.

It did have something to do with them. The girl was their first customer and without her they would be designated as just a rebellious group and be extinguished. They needed her to be recognized as an official company instead of just a slave rebellion. S2 is when they started getting involve more with the choclate man

What else would you do with giant robots?

How else would you make giant robots regularly fight other giant robots?

a high school where every student pilots a mecha to class. Mecha improvement club needs 5 members or it will get disbanded. First season ends with the club winning their prefectural mecha piloting contest, setting up for second season where they go for the nationals.

ahem

Sports

Those were proxy wars.

U U

Wasn't that texhnically a class and race war? At least in the start.

Did Gundam Build Fighter have war in it?

War requires death. While you can have a shonen with death, generally depressing stuff doesn't sell as well. By having machines do the dying, it is cool while avoiding the majority of human suffering. It's the same as real historical dogfighting. Only a few hundred pilots engage each other, but it still looks exciting.

Do people in mecha still die? Sure, but it's usually waved off and we rarely get cockpit closeups. An outlier would be IBO, we got to see a bunch of people die fairly gruesomely.

tl;dr You can kill all the robots you want.

so gundam building but in school? The school would have to be stupid rich to be giving kids parts to build a gundam and the would have to be like geniuses to have a bach in enginerinering rocket science. Nuclear energy and so on I....
>class crisis exist
Well thats different

Because mecha makes it better. Also pleb thread.

>so gundam building but in school?
Sounds more like R;N with bigger robots.

I guess you aren't familiar with cute girls doing war with non-mechas genre

>and it's not mecha.
Uhm...
