I think the point of the early evil sister reveal was to quickly reveal the first antagonist. You could tell immediately from the first few chapters that his missing sister was going to be a plot point, so the author just put the two together.

At first I only read it as a trashy side dish but I think as of the recent chapters it's actually coming into its own and becoming fun.

The artist puts a lot of style into it with their pose composition and the cute way they draw faces, and the writing has more of a playful sense of humor after it learned to stop taking itself entirely seriously.
