anyways, you should probably read some mecha mangas, I ended up enjoying it more than their anime counterparts. then watch some classics, zambot 3 is very entertaining even with it's outdated animations

I've been wanting to read some mecha manga but mecha seems like more of an anime thing than a manga thing, at least after the 60s/70s. I'm reading Getter right now and there's Mazinger too but I haven't been able to find much generally considered good mecha manga outside of those and similar series.
I want to read Front Mission: Dog Life and Dog Style but that isn't fully translated. Apparently some Gundam manga are good too and Thunderbolt was originally a manga, which is still ongoing.

Usuall when someone will cross out shows based on a single ganre they deserve the boot.
Mecha, but same goes for people who'd turn down a show cause it's moe or isekai or highschool and protest it.
