Ara ara x1

前略
This is a chapter that I don't like, because I think it goes after the wrong point. Yes, it's important to make time for your friends, but the real problem is how much they let their jobs control their lives!

At least for me, a big part of becoming an adult was learning to say "no" to things like that.

Catchphrase Counter, with the missing one:
Ara ara: 122
Hahi: 89
Dekkai: 67
Momiko: 34
Kinshi: 32
Suwa: 17

She probably needs to work more than others since she's the sole full undine for Aria company.

Thanks OP

>but the real problem is how much they let their jobs control their lives!
So on top of being an alcoholic, Alicia is also a workaholic.
I propose we give her an intervention.

She doesn't have an obligation to take as many customers as possible. She could work normal hours 5 days a week and still have a normal life. If they need the money, she's in demand enough that she could just raise rates.

>intervention.
Could it be the real reason she retired into marriage?

Thank you, OP.

How the hell I never see these threads until like an hour after they've been posted despite browsing via catalog?

only the fabled siren can mouth off akira-sama like that and live to tell the tale.

Or Alicia

Thanks for the dump. At times I wonder if Akira-sama could be a spectacular crybaby too - but it's clear that she cares a lot about those dear to her. I'm in agreement - Alicia (and to some extent the other Fairies) need to take a look at their work/life balance! I just hope they don't end up burning out. Guess that depends on how stressful the job is, too.

Trivia wise, the volume cover looks to show a young Grandma walking in one of the arcades of St. Mark's Square, with some suitably festive decorations for the winter. The insider page shows her in front of the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo, which is a gorgeous place with some spectacular views from the belvedere, but it can be a pain to find if you've never been before! But like seeing Akira-sama smile, it's so rewarding when you finally see it.

>but the real problem is how much they let their jobs control their lives!
I agree, but unfortunately life is not that simple, especially for sole traders, they need to get as much money as possible when trade is good in order to survive through times when trade is not good. Especially if their trade involves tourism.

Thanks for the chapter!

It doesn't seem like Alicia would ever need to worry about trade turning bad for an extended period.

You never know. President Aria could fall onto her head and knock her unconscious. That means hospital bills and no trade to pay the bills!

But it's the start of winter, and she's still super busy. Shouldn't that be the start of her off season?

I don't know about that, winter can be quite romantic in Venice.

Now it makes so much sense why there are so many women on Aqua, they can say they are 15 when they would really be 30 on Manhome.

So is there no off season? Because that makes it even worse.

Not if you look at the calendar here . Aqua's spring and autumn coincide with Man-home's summer holidays, while aqua's summer is perfect for those on Man-home that want some winter sun.

But we can tell from that it's the 22nd Aqua month, or October.

Yet Akari-chan says it's winter, so it must be near the end of the month. Either way, Alicia or any of the other fairies are clearly not getting a break, off-season or not.

Thanks as always, being an famous undine is like a double-edged sword.
Now I wonder is she was an alcoholic by nature, or became one due to her workaholism.

Well, she's been doing this since she was 15. That can't be healthy.

Thanks as always!

This. I set up a filter to highlight "daily" and now I sometimes see dumps for good series I never knew about.

15 in Manhome years? Actually how the laws that involve ages works in Aqua?

Yes, she set the record for youngest ever. It doesn't seem like there are any labor laws. I also wonder if they all dropped out of school at 15.

because the burghers own neo venezia just like they owned ye olde venezia, and as long as young girls bring in money, they have the right to have their labor exploited by them.
