It fully embraces the retardedness in every aspect. There's no videogame bullshit or lucking into godly powers or somehow being the only one to abuse some incredibly basic mechanical flaw in the universe, he's just ungodly strong because he was an unbeatable pro wrestler on earth and really who gives a shit if it makes sense? Its refreshing. There's no suspension of disbelief to fail because the story doesn't expect you to believe anything.
I can't really say it isn't generic, there's enough isekai now that I wouldn't even be surprised if this isn't the first about opening a magical petshop, but at least its the first one I've read that is so willing to embrace what it is. It doesn't make excuses. Even konosuba got annoying trying to set stuff up like like I'm supposed to care about the excuses, which just highlights how shitty the excuses are.
