The author dictated what the ending for anime would be. Clearly it shows that Tatara and Chinatsu are going to be "the pair".

It's canon. The author herself said the anime production ended with what she intended for the series. You can look up interviews regarding that. I believe she tweeted it out as well.

Not a shipperfag but it's been hinted multiple times in the manga that Tatara and Shizuku will pair up again in the future. As for romance, there is barely any
almost non-existent butt we do see that Tatara isn't over Shizuku and we still see her blush at him many times especially when the two have some personal talk in chapter 35.

Depends. Fucking World Trigger is back on a reasonable schedule too. Monthly manga is nowhere near as harrowing as weekly, so it's better suited to author's who are recovering from serious health conditions.
