Higuma breaks the door in Makino's bar, but in a following scene, the door is fine. In one of the first SBS's, someone asks Oda about it, and Oda damage controls by creating a joke character that goes around the East Blue fixing broke doors. When we finally get to Wano, the foreman overseeing Franky's work looks exactly like the guy the fixes doors in the East Blue. Oda later reveals in a SBS they are related and that some other character we already know came from Wano, as a ship went to the East Blue twenty years ago. In the recent chapter, Yasu is revealed to be Shimotsuki Yasuie, Shimotsuki being the name of the town Zoro is from. It's also revealed in the Flashback that one of the people who served Yasu had the same symbol on his cloak as Koshiro, Zoro's mentor. The broken door guy is related to Zoro's origin.

Someone in an SBS pointed this out to Oda, and Oda bullshitted a character who likes fixing doors really quick. He then proceeded to build a lore behind that character by giving him relatives in Wano.

The three best characters (Orochi, Zoro, Kyoshiro) are on a collision course to 944. Goda don't let me down like you did with Bobbin.

To me it’s a clear hint that Zoro is only Samurai level because while he seems physically stronger and it gives him compensation, the samurai are more graceful and don’t leave themselves open to attacks, Zoro’s biggest weakness in every fight.

He was already the second-strongest in the crew before the timeskip, and arguably had the biggest jump in power over the timeskip, if not the second-biggest jump after Luffy. Then the first two arcs of the New World were not even serious challenges for the crew; the enemies were weak and Zoro had to remind himself and Luffy in Punk Hazard that they can't afford to be goofing off. Then although he was in Dressroa, he heavily let himself take the backseat to Luffy, just settling to defeat the living mountain, because with his skills size doesn't matter against him. And aside from size, Pica didn't have that much going for him.
So this is the first time since the timeskip that Zoro's actually been around powerful opponents, and the nature of the plot makes it so that he can really stretch his limbs as a character here.

Gyokimaru was defending himself against Zoro’s attack, and instead of showing a killing intent, let’s Zoro know he leaves himself open. I think he could have landed a blow on his own against Zoro, since he left him alive with his other swords, rather than disarming him.
To him Zoro isn’t a threat so far.
Zoro only had two swords and fought from anger, I think threatening to kill Gyukimaru, so Gyukimaru’s calm reaction giving Zoro advice says a lot about Zoro’s place as a swordsman below him until further notice.

That is a lot of assumptions with very little supporting evidence in the text itself. First, there's no indication that the fact he he's shouting "you're open" is anything more than a taunt. He left Zoro alive because he takes a weapon from each person defeated at the bridge. Kamazou was defeated, so he took Kamazou's scythe.

There's also no indication that Zoro is fighting from anger in that scene. Gyukimaru is the one who's constantly shouting and insulting Zoro, while Zoro remains mostly calm.

That's Oda's "comically angry". Anyone whose read the series knows that Oda reserves certain styles and expressions for actually, story impacting anger, while he lets character's react angrily for the sake of comedy elsewhere. For instance, anytime Nami yells at the crew. One way to tell the difference is that the character's teeth become sharp and they have the little vein mark.

For instance, look at Luffy in the bottom left panel. That is how Oda draws a character who is actually angry, and whose anger is important to the story.

Gyukimaru is strong but I can see that his weakness is that he does not create openings, he waits for them, “always”. To beat him you have to create an opening while not leaving any yourself.

I wasn’t using that panel to prove Zoro was angry that his sword was stolen, I was using it to show that Gyukimaru was low key teaching Zoro.

Gyukimaru is basically a 1 to 1 rendition of Benkei. Gyukiramu takes the weapons of people who are defeated at the bridge, so him saying that he would take Zoro's swords is the same as saying he'd beat him. Kamazou was defeated, so his weapon was taken. Zoro wasn't, so he was left alone.

There's no reason to think we aren't entering into the end stretch narratively. Wano holds a large number of secrets regarding the void century, there's going to be one final Road Poneglyph to find, and an Emperor is going to be taken out. The last two islands we know they are going to visit is Raftel and Elbaf, though there may be other arcs in there. Reverie was a large lore dump what with giving a more intimate look into the layout of Marie Geois, the existence of Im and the holy treasure. The Rev's are making their moves and most of the supernovas have been or are currently involved in the story. There isn't much new things left to pull that aren't directly connected to the endgame.

Ultimately though it seems like the story of One Piece is going to revolve around the toppling of the World Government. It isn't a coincidence that the Straw hats are likely to get all three major non-human races as stalwart allies. So far both the Minks and the Fishmen have been intimately tied to the void century, so it stands to reason that the Giants could be as well, especially since they are the longest lived of any race.

Luffy has to die in the end. If he doesn't, Oda won't be able to finish the story.

The crew still being together and exploring the word would be a way better ending than Luffy dying because muh edge with everyone splitting up and settling down. It actually fits the spirit of the series. Also, Luffy already has plans for what he wants to do after becoming the PK
