I feel like he's looking at the situation from a largely social perspective, so not being super attractive enough to be a "trophy" probably defaults him to being unattractive as a prospective item since there isn't much of anything else he has to offer in terms of "human capitol".
Although he never applies it towards others, he seems to be only able to ascertain his own sense of self-worth through what he perceives as society's standards (grades, qualifications, background, etc).

Because from a purely logical and emotionless standpoint, the Prez' assessment of himself is absolutely correct.
It's just that trying to abide by pure logic is absurdity in of itself (see: Iceguya's autism), but Prez thinks that being unable to commit to instances of that logic (see: Prez being a nice guy without ulterior motives) makes him a coward.

I think we all agree that Fujiwara is barely relevant at this point.

I think I can understand how Shirogane feels. People either think too highly of themselves, or too poorly. Shirogane is the latter, for a variety of reasons the plot has already shown. Also, pretty much everyone groom themselves to become more attractive, be it in terms of looks, capability or whatever. Shirogane became conscious of that fact and took it to the extreme, because he's certain that as he is no one would pay him any attention (and to a degree he's right, since pretty much everyone has some degree of expectations).

These latest chapters have shown us that both Shirogane and Kaguya want to be loved for what they think they really are. However, both of them think so poorly and, this is important, they've also placed each other on a rather high pedestal that they just cannot come clean to each other, and this is the current issue, as neither of them can easily accept themselves, and moreover, accept that they've actually grown from many of their own weaknesses and that, in many ways, what they think is a facade, is them just having improved themselves, and whilst many of their weaknesses remain, they won't be able to know if the other one will accept each other until they're honest between themselves.

Being liked/loved for who you are is one of the nicest feelings. Knowing that there's someone (aside from your family) who loves you just as you are, and that you don't have to try to become someone else for them to see you is just amazing. The thing is that Shirogane and Kaguya are just too into each other that they're willing to keep playing pretend as long as they can be together.

Aka said that very early on, and despite being the one who's seen Shirogane's weaknesses the most, Chika never really played a romantic role. She's more like the series' crazy pet or something.

She'll probably get some attention during her party. It took 90 chapters for Ishi to open his eyes, Fuji has plenty of potential.

I really don't see that would happen or anyone would want that to happen, it wouldn't really be a love triangle but it would tack on unnecessary drama that doesn't really need to exist. Any Fuji drama should come from her feeling third wheeled by them getting together and leaving her behind to go to America, nothing romantic.

Nah, I'd say the problem is that they're still in the same positions. Its Kaguya that still hasn't moved, and its still Prez who has decided to kill himself working himself to death once again on another crazy plan, that she'll kick and punch him for because it wasn't right.

Last chapter set it up to be the other way around; where the ball was in Kaguya's court and she needed to be the one to make a move and help Prez. But its just been reversed again so she was able to be honest to a Prez puppet a bit, and Prez is just ready to do all the work again.

Her only difference is that she acknowledges that a man who's usually put together showing a weakness isn't bad, but she's still put all the agency to move onto him so far. Which isn't good since he has a habit of working himself to death. They need to find a way to meet in the middle even as their weak selves.

His crazy plan is to heed Haysaca advice and show his weak side.

The way I see it confessing isn't the only thing that needs to happen at this point, yeah it'll put to rest his self esteem issues with her for now but wouldn't really be resolving the underlying issues, even in this chapter Kaguya turned out to be right about him not listening even if she just told him to stop, it's so ingrained in his lifestyle that it needs to be addressed properly so he can see for himself that he doesn't need to do this.

I feel like confessing will come as a result of being honest with each other but that's what both of them are finding difficult to do, since that'll involve directly sharing these longstanding issues with each other.
