Did you forget the early DC chapters? Ging is a phenomenal character, pretty much exactly what you realistically would expect a asshole neglected his kid to go on adventures to be. Not to mention the fact that he is generally not well liked in universe. This also makes him a really interesting character because he's so flawed. He's a fucking piece of shit but he's aware of it and can be genuinely a good guy. He's shy and stubborn genius to the point where he seems condescending but he also admits his own flaws and that he gets into bad situations because he talks more than he thinks.

Yeah that can be a reason but what I mean is, Kurapika has as much of a powerful motivation and reason to go after the Phantom Troupe as Gon did going after Meruem and the Chimera Ants. For them both it was extremely personal.
If we want to give Leorio the same kind of respect and treatment, he would need to go through something intense and defining before fighting such an opponent - which would realistically take a very, very long time, even if this manga updated on a regular schedule.

You bringing that up raises a few ideas. What if Kurapika finds himself in a similar situation as Gon did where the odds are heavily stacked against him and he has to make some crazy cnen contract so that he can obtain an insane amount of power that basically kills him later on. The situation could be a lot of things such as if 3 or more spiders jumped Kurapika with no way of escaping or something along those lines.

I know what you mean, yeah it’s important that Leorio should have his own goals and motivations with his own personal flaws, trials and error. But what I want to see is if it comes to fighting the Spiders, Leorio should fight Nobunaga while Kurapika is busy with Phinks and/or Feitan, meanwhile Hisoka is fighting Chrollo. Give Leorio a role in fighting the PT while also having his own arc.

Meant to reply to that as well : aesthetically speaking sure Genthru is definitely on the lower but most Zoldycks are pretty under developped so far, same with most of the spiders, we know regular dynamics between the members of these respective groups but not much beyond that which is a shame because on the surface they seem really interesting.
