I'm a pretty huge steins;gate fag but the 0 VN absolutely does not come anywhere even close to the original due to reasons such as
>lackluster/restricted ending
>Okabe/Kurisu dynamic missing and nothing being able to fulfill that role
>Plot holes that were basically non-existant in the first one

It's still a pretty solid VN overall but nowhere near the perfection that was the original.

Also, if we compare the two anime adaptations, 0 is a complete disaster both writingwise and directingwise. The original series had a top-tier directing.
