I'd say great female characters are challenging but really rewarding as they can then be liked by everyone. The male audience too, if they have the girl's personality to bond with them through, it nulls the gender disconnect issue, plus, attraction to them helps many of the male audience.

And then one of them(probably Naruto) comes and suggests spending the time together, and they have some fun bonding time, and both of them happy.

When you think about it, most characters got aged and had some slight changes (Sasuke became edgier, Sakura's Inner personality became permanently her outward one, etc), except Naruto who was literally put on stasis, only made look older. He gained no new skill, he didn't even mastered what he already had, and didn't learned at least one new jutsu from Jiraiya or Toad summon related (Toad Oil Bullet comes to mind) during the timeskip or, even worse, before the series ended.
It's a shame, because I really liked Naruto, but post timeskip it was becoming progressively worse.
That being said, 2nd Mizukage was the best thing that came from War Arc, and Tobirama was the best from the Juubi Arc. Kaguya Arc was a complete mess though.

Most poisons would be mix of poisonous ingredients, and as Sakura is Tsunade's student, she would likely use something Tsunade taught her, which would be something Orochimaru would more than likely know. Now, if Sakura would use something made by Sasori, but she mostly focused on how to heal Kankuro rather than replicate that later.
After all, it was Shizune who used poisons in combat, while Sakura was inferior copy of Tsunade when it came to combat.

Ironically, Kakuzu is one of the Akatsuki members that would be most fitting for how Part 1 was writing villains - people who due to what happened in their life became what they became, and were something Naruto himself could become if his life went even worse than it already was. The sole difference is that Kakuzu was old enough to get over it (or did he?) and wasn't sharing his backstory before Konoha nins, Naruto included.
Maybe that's why I like Kakuzu, as him, Kisame, and Sasori were characters that wouldn't be out of place in Part 1 as major antagonists.
Technically, Nagato/Pain also was like that, but the writing wasn't good enough to show that connection with Naruto other than that Nagato and Yahiko used to share Jiraiya's ideals that Naruto still held to, Nagato being part of Uzumaki Clan was something that was learned posthumously, so no connection on that level could be drawn, and there was no pay-off with Naruto realising that they were not that different, and that he could become just like him.
Maybe that's why Zabuza and Gaara were so liked as villains, as they were more than just antagonists, they also acted as dark mirrors of what could Naruto be if things would go wrong. And also why Kabuto was one of the better written characters, as there were many similarities between him and Naruto, in a way.

I want Gaiden series about characters from the past, be it Tobirama, Hozuki Gengetsu (2nd Mizukage), Kinkaku and Ginkaku, Akatsuki members, various Kages or other famous shinobi, leaders or not (I want to see Hanzo in his prime, who was THE strongest ninja Jiraiya has ever met [before Pain], which would include Sarutobi "God of Shinobi, The Strongest Hokage, and The Strongest of Five Kages" Hiruzen). Hell, with her perfect accuracy, she should be trained in barrier ninjutsu and fuinjutsu, which could be well used with throwing weapons.

Indeed, Kabutops was great, he was one of my favourite characters, then again, Sound brought some good ones that were unfortunately misused. Dosu Kinuta was a character that could become a recurring character that would be antagonistic towards both Naruto and Konoha, and towards Orochimaru and Sasuke, and his sound-based ninjutsu is one of the more interesting and open for creative use tools in the series (certain frequencies can actually cause hallucinations, and even cause irrational fear, and all of that without needing to mess up with chakra, so no genjutsu breaking skill would help).
I disagree on Naruto not mastering Frog Sage Mode. He had his Energies balanced, and his massive stamina is what allowed him to use it right. That makes him master of it. In comparison, Jiraiya always had a bit too much Natural Energy, hence slight transformation, while Minato clearly had too small stamina, as he needed lot of time for it, and could only use it for a short time, which shows that he had much lower stamina than Jiraiya and Naruto.
And you forgot of Raikages. Either 3rd or 4th A (Kishi reached new levels of laziness when he named all 4 Raikages "A", which means all 4 known Jinchuuriki of Hachibi were known as "B") could be arguably above Killer Bee, and unlike him, neither has a Bijuu.
That being said, Onooki, Muu, and Hozuki Gengetsu (2nd Mizukage) are definitely in top 5 of non bullshit people. And Gai was stronger than Lee at the end of the series, while TenTen with those weapons wasn't as strong, as she has limited stamina.

Itachi wasn't as good as he seemed to be once the truth about him was revealed. His character has no connection towards Naruto himself, and exists mostly for Sasuke's character arc. And once he was brought back with Edo Tensei, he became one of the worst characters in the franchise, even if his very existence is the source of power creep, with his 2 basically unbeatable Mangekyo jutsus he used in Part 1 (which makes his "every jutsu has its weakness" all the more jarring, as rarely if ever his jutsu were outmatched).
Pain's story could still work with how villains were written in Part 1, because he was made what he became due to actions of Konoha, be it Danzo under shadows or Konoha openly during 2nd Shinobi World War. That being said, he would work better after Uzumaki Clan thing was revealed, maybe even with actually showing WHO destroyed Uzushiogakure, especially that 2 known survivors of Uzumaki Clan settled in Land of Grass and Land of Rain, both laying to opposite side of Land of Fire than Uzushiogakure was, which means they would have to cross Land of Fire to get to those lands, which means they would have to go relatively closely to their supposed closest ally, Konohagakure.

The 5th was Orochimaru's teammate so he would know a lot of her tricks. Also, Orochimaru wouldnt make Sasuke immune to the poison that he uses for the body transfer lol

Story would have been better if Itachi had just legit been a psychopath or maybe the constant pressure he was under just made him snap and slaughter his clan. Trying to paint him as hero or as a 'good guy' after murdering his ENTIRE CLAN down to every last man, woman and child other than his brother is a bit of a stretch. Obito even offered to kill the children and Itachi said 'nah I got this bro'.

I liked it more how Orochimaru pointed out Naruto's obvious talent for learning when he tries, regardless of difficulty, and countering that Sasuke has innate ability that allows him to copy jutsu without needing training, which doesn't really make him a genius in a way that Orochimaru is.

Also, in comparison to how Naruto and Kabutops feels like proper apprentices surpassing masters towards Jiraiya and Orochimaru respectively, Sakura feels like a failure that all she managed to achieve was becoming a copy that doesn't really surpass her teacher, doesn't achieve mastering something she did not, and doesn't possess skills that her master lacks (despite having talent for genjutsu and having Yin included, unlike Tsunade, she never learned any genjutsu, something she should have learned from Kurenai, but alas, Sharingan made most genjutsu users obsolete). Hell, she doesn't even have Sage Mode, something to truly make her on the same page as other two Sannin apprentices, and the Sage Mode that would be learned in Shikkotsurin (Katsuyu's summoning place) is likely the one Hashirama used.

I disagree. Too much shady stuff with ANBU Itachi and Shisui was there for it to just go nowhere, and his motive for killing the whole clane was always weak as fuck for me. I would pretty much leave everything the same(with Danzo and etc), just simply not paint his as heroically. Make Sasuke and the story not idolize him, but rather acknowledge him just being a 13 year old victim of will of fire propaganda and shinobi system

Itachi never set the "Protect Konoha" order on Shisui's MS that was to react to his own, on the chance that Naruto would face EMS Sasuke. It was the last order Shisui used his MS for, and it reacted to Itachi's eye because it was the eye it was used on, even if there was no MS in Itachi's eye, it was still his chakra in that Sharingan.

Agreed with everything you said, part 1 Naruto is just a cute little dipshit and it complements his backstory incredibly. Too bad that in Shippuden aside from a couple fillers he only really stood out as a good character during the Pain arc, seeing him just shut down after Jiraiya's death was heartbreaking. Then after that he's just a really good foil to Nagato and I really did enjoy their interactions. Proper upper power levels:
No unbreakable and unbeatable jutsus like Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi, or at least make them properly beatable (Kotoamatsukami in comparison isn't as bad, as it had limited amounts of use).

Mind, Shisui was still able to use non-Kotoamatsukami Sharingan genjutsu with his MS that was better than regular Sharingan genjutsu (a half-Hyuuga with a single Byakugan [I bet his other eye was the one Ao had, as he was working as a spy for Kirigakure] was kicking his and Itachi's asses and was completely immune to genjutsu used with Sharingan, forcing Shisui to use one with MS, to which he automatically performed seppuku, as he conditioned himself to do that if he would ever be put under genjutsu. Which proves that not even best genjutsu user with regular Sharingan can put a Hyuuga under genjutsu.

Susano'o's highest level is the fleshy one: Sasuke's with bow and arrows, Itachi's with a sword but not Totsuka and no Yata Mirror. Also, Susano'o should be much easier to destroy, the amount of stuff it effortlessly handled was just stupid. One of the things that should be hard counter to Susano'o should be Gentle Fist, as it is supposed to be perfect counter to anything made with chakra, and that's what Susano'o is.

Another thing, absolutely no Bijuudama crap. Bijuus worked best as chakra beasts that gave special abilities, not a condensed chakra bomb for each and every single one of them.
Finally, Kage level should be someone who can at the least restrain a Bijuu, optionally at high cost. 4th and technically 3rd Kazekages were hard counters to Shukaku with the way they used Jiton (which is also the advanced element that Shukaku uses to control sand, and Gaara's own Kekkei Genkai, which explains the "compatibility" bit that Gaara had and his older siblings lacked to become Jinchuuriki), being able to summon huge summons to help restraining a Bijuu is also something a Kage level character would be able to do, as it needs lot of chakra.
