Bad taste is slice of life, isekai, mecha, shounenshit, light novels and light novel adaptation and ecchi
Good taste is everything else

Good taste are the people who prefer high rated seinen manga.

Good taste mean liking something relatively obscure, without too much fanservice, made for whatever artistic reasons other than money.
You can then pretend this is culture and post your rankings or 3x3 threads with the rest of the circlejerk.

Alternatively, it means liking whatever you like, because having good taste is good and if people like the same things as you, then they are also good.

It doesn't matter if you follow the pretentious or the honest route, they both lead to nothing.

I have shit taste anyways, but I love the shows I watch, so I have come to terms with it. Your taste is fine, unless you like some really shitty shows that almost no one likes

I'm probably interpreting your question a bit loosely here but I think it's less having good "taste" and more being able to articulate why one thinks a show is good based on its merits and nothing else, if that makes sense.

Don't bother posting if you're this much of a pleb. Genres define the story, but have little effect on whether a show is actually good. Isekai may be garbage, but it's completely possible that someone will make a good one.
