Everyone is using days of future past time travel bullshit that it becomes cliched. I didnt like the pacing and the development of Lelouch to just be fixed like that.

I didnt pay attention to the series when it aired except for the theme song but was told from friends that the anime was good for non stop action. Watching the movie, there were alot of pauses that made it quite boring.

Ending is set up for continuing with a new series or set of movies so hopefully the next one will have more action. Those were the fun parts.

for a limited time for 3 days, not too bad I guess.

Well, I kind of hope that they bring back some of the other writers of the original series for a proper sequel with the tv canon like of Hiroyuki Yoshino who wasn't involved with the movies for some reason.

It's an OK movie. Not great, not terrible.

I wasn't expecting much of anything, so I liked it.

Very few shows are non-stop action in the literal sense. That's not bad, but I accept some folks might enjoy less of those moments.

camrips will be more common since so many things are sequel films. and nips don't want to release blu-rays until a few months after the films are screened in places like the us, so the delay means more people will want to watch cams

I was already disappointed with R2 except for the last episode, and looks like this movie only exists to retcon it.

S1 and R2 are one universe. That's still all done.

Recap movies, this and ???? are another.

Well, theres several spinoffs and sidestories all set in the TV universe. Renya of Darkness, Oz the Reflection, Lelouch of the Rebellion Re;, and Lancelot & Guren for manga, and the Akito the Exiled OVAs were all demonstrated to be in the TV universe in one way or another. Two of those manga, L&G and Re; are still ongoing.

The recap movies and Re;surrection are their own self contained universe. The movies make reference to some of the spinoffs, like Oz and Akito, but the original versions of those spinoffs were shown to be in the TV in one way or another.

Sure, there is a bit of overlap, but most of those manga are pre-existing and ultimately sideshows by definition. Not essential. I think we'll see more movie-related contents getting announced this year or the next.

yeah, not to mention the years; R2 kept events in 2018 a.t.b. while in the 3rd recap had it that when Lelouch became emperor it was in 2019 a.t.b.
