Why did he give his daughter over to someone who raped her with worms every day?

Why did he give his daughter over to someone who raped her with worms every day?

That actually sounds like an Alpha af move

Because only one children gets to inherit the family magic crest and that went to Rin. Zouken's descendants are garbage so he needed someone to fill with worms. Tokiomi saw this as an opportunity to put that younger daughter to use. It was a profitable deal for both of them. He probably downplayed the rape even if he did know about it since it was all in the name of MAGIC

Because they were old friends, and he didn't think the guy would do that kind of thing to a young girl. Instead he thought he would get his daughter to become the heir to another family's magic, while he already had an heir for his family.

Because it was his fetish

because he's a slut that pleases old men for money

no surprise Rin grew up to be just like him

He knew Sakura was a slut the moment she left the womb hence why he gave her to the guy who had lots of dicks to make her happy.

Because he's a shit father. Hell, his other daughter became a bisexual cunt.

Literally didn't know. this user has it right, he genuinely thought he was doing her a kindness because otherwise Rin would get the glory of magic and Sakura would be shut away from it despite her great potential. He didn't know the grail was corrupt, didn't know Zouken had rotted ages earlier, didn't realize his pet apprentice had an origin based in love of suffering and would backstab him when Gil tempted him, etc etc. He was a great magus in the total Clocktower academic sense and a dumbass in a hundred other ways.

The greater good innit

WTF, an actual reasonable explanation.
This is my headcanon now.

Why didn't he use birth control when he fucked Aoi? Mage has magic and shit right? Just use magic to stop the semen from inseminating the eggs.

Because he's a magus. Sakura would become heir to the matou clan while Rin is his heir. This doubles the chance of his family reaching the root. The alternative is Sakura not inheriting a crest at all.

He also didn't know about the worms

Yeah, that pissed me off.

I wonder how he would have reacted to the truth, if Lancelot's master had managed to tell him, instead of sperging out assuming he already knew by default.

She was damaged at a young age. I’m shocked she’s not a complete and utter degenerate.

Based and wormpilled

I must say, I like fate, but the cheap shock crap in that series gets on my nerves. It’s unnecessary and disgusting.

Maybe he would just shrug it off since mages are totally okay with creepy shit as long as they get to magic and research and root

Rin is entirely heterosexual. Don't try and use noncanon material. There's enough canon issues with her personality to be getting along with.

>orignal source material
>noncanon

She's a complete and utter degenerate.
Horse shit > Bisexuality.

He knew Sakura's fate was to become Shirou's wife, but couldn't approve of a commoner marrying his way into the Tohsaka family.

Gil was winning until he lost

He'd have done it anyway. Being a good magus means being a bad parent.

H-Scenes that were only added in to sell the game, and taken out the moment it was possible to do so, and with literally nothing lost.

Yet, he used the original release for the anniversary video.

Rin isn't bi. She's straight and Sabersexual, like literally everyone else in the cast.

Sakura isn't Sabersexual.

What about Issei and Sakura?

Of course she is. Even Taiga is.

Source?

He wouldn't care about the worms. He'd be pissed off about Zouken lying about making Sakura the Matou heir and not teaching her magecraft.
Also Kariya didn't care about telling Tokiomi the truth. He just wanted an excuse to kill him and take his wife. At the start he might've actually wanted to save Sakura, but his mind started going downhill shortly after his hateboner for Tokiomi rose.

>No gem Girl route
Why even live

Because despite only one family crest, having a second kid is still a good thing due to other mage families wanting breeding stock like Sakura. Her perfect magic circuits guarantee someone will want her. Still, giving her to the Matous seemed good on paper. She was supposed to get the family crest not raped 24/7

It was necessary for her to become a vessel for Kama

Are you telling me that if Sakura wasn't given to Zouken in the future Tokiomi would marry her off to some rich fat bald old mage?

Surely there must have been much more reputable options to choose from. How do you look at Zouken with his 500 year old appearance and carnivorous insects swarming around him and think "yeah, this is a trustworthy guy". It's not like magic training even matters in this respect as the Matou's were already recognized as a decrepit bloodline.

Is it really any better if he gave his daughter to someone he didn't know might rape her with worms?
Well his mind did have a lot of worms in it

Yeah. Pretty much what would happen to her.

Why not have her make a copy ? Isn’t a crest only the knowledge (and some magical circuits) of previous users ? Why couldn’t Sakura copy it’s contents and make a second crest ?

Because the power of the crest is related to how many generations it has developed with, it's not reasonable to just copy the thing. In part because of how many magic circuits are used in its development by each generation. Any given magus is not likely to have enough magic circuits to make a copy, when every prior generation is supposed to put as much as they can spare in the thing.

How magic crests work is kind of vague in general, other that specifically being inconvenient for the purpose you're describing

The magic crest is like a spiritual organ, you can't simply copy it.

Probably isn’t economical or feasible. They’re made with the magic circuits of multiple generations. I doubt one can be made just like that, it probably requires a lot of them just to make a bare bone one.

Based

Urobuchi stated that Tokiomi knew

At least Tokiomi still made a right decision when he sent Sakura to the Edefelt in Apoc timeline:
>In the Fate/Apocrypha universe, the Fourth Holy Grail War didn't occur, Shirou is still living in Fuyuki with his original surname unchanged. His personality is a lot closer to his Capsule Servant counterpart. Still having an honest and upright personality, and likely going through days with a love comedy-like tone, along with a twin-tail magic-fist user and her cheerful little sister who laughs like a high-class young lady.

>The Tohsaka gave up on the Greater Grail, and now seek a new path in becoming one with the universe with Chinese Kenpou while learning magecraft. The twin-tail daughter of the family might also end up becoming the founder of a “completely new martial arts that combines magecraft and Chinse Kenpou” by the time she becomes a high school student. However, she never imagined that her younger sister who was adopted by distant relatives would come visit her in Japan after becoming a pro-wrestler with unimaginably nice proportions and forming a tag team with a drill-roll-haired girl…!

eh, why not?

Wizard with no sense of morality

How does magus society supposedly maintain itself? What sort of young adult goes "Well the first 20 years of my life have been miserable, and all I have to look forward to is working my ass off for a goal I'll never see in my life, time to do the exact same shitty thing to my own kid."

Because using magic is awesome. And at least you can get away with killing a fuck ton of people.

Like, your life might suck. But you are still a wizard in a society founded on sociopathy. Use that.

Magus parent's thought
>Rin will succeed as the Tohsaka heir and gain all our magics
>Sakura will succeed as the Matou heir (one of the 3 great magus families in Fuyuki) and gain all their magics
>Both of them will participate in a Holy Grail War in the future
>Which means one of my daughters will win and gain the Holy Grail
>In the end the Tohsaka bloodline will gain power

Normal parent's thought
>Is this Matou person trust worthy?
>Maybe I should do a background check?
>Can their family provide a healthy environment for my child?
>Will my daughter be traumatized if we suddenly separate her from the rest of her family?
>Will be think that we abandoned her?

Tokiomi is not a normal parent.

Having magic circuits brings autism with you since they there designed by Solomon to be that way.

[citation needed]

Even from that perspective his plan was utterly retarded though. Considering how Sakura ended up so utterly broken that she basically forfeited her once in a lifetime chance to win the holy grail war to a guy with seaweed hair.

TMF : Did Tokiomi know what Sakura was going through after she was adopted by MATŌ?

U : What is important for Tokiomi is not filiation but magical progression in his family. So he is aware of literally throwing away (abandoning) his daughter. One can imagine that Tokiomi tells himself that, through his darling daughter, he will come to have superior thaumaturgical powers.

Tokiomi knew that Sakura was going to suffer, but for him, it would allow him to become a real mage. As long as it increased the thaumaturgical potential of his family, he had no problem with Sakura’s treatments at MATŌ. However, if he had known Sakura’s fate, to be a vessel for Zōken, he would have refused. He also imagined that if things went too far, Sakura could stop Zōken by herself. Unconsciously, even if he never said it, the fight between Sakura and Rin at the end of Heaven’s Feel was for him the best thing that could happen to TŌSAKA. Aoi, on the other hand, knew nothing.

Ancap parenting.

Are Fate mages peak ancap?

Because he is ridiculously a bad judge of character.

Why did butcher make him out to be such an asshat when in the VN he didn't come off that way at all?

>Why did butcher make him out to be such an asshat when in the VN he didn't come off that way at all?

Nasu agreed with the retcons

This. The guy somehow looked at people like Zouken and Kotohime and thought "Yeah, this looks like somebody that I can trust."

Why?

Well what else was he going to do with her? It was either this or marry her off.

You diss the plan only by knowing the outcome, though.

He could send her to another family

I guess because the ideal mage is generally a shit person.

You can't copy a crest. Edenfelt was the only family which can divide it's crest between siblings.

To be fair Tokiomi isn't counted as an ideal mage in Typemoon though. Also Waver is considered a true mage btw.

Didn't Kotomine say that Tohsaka was an archetypal mage?

Then why did she take Saber?

Because Magi are horrible, horrible families.

>Why would you take the strongest servant as a willing tool
The shadow knew what it was doing.

Thought that was Edgeworth for a sec and got real confused.

#
No. I diss the plan because it was stupid. Sending your daughter to a enviroment as terrible as the Matou's and then somehow expecting her to still give a fuck about magecraft and the Tohsaka bloodline is the height of idiocy.

Honestly, Sakura giving her servant to Shinji was the best possible outcome. A far more likely outcome would have been her entering the holy grail war to wipe out all magecraft.

Waver is a shit mage, but a fantastic teacher and person. Tokiomi is the exact opposite

It was a hack move by nasu to make the plot, it's absurdly stupid but what are you going to do.

To be fair, isn't Waver's main problem just that his family is kind of new?

Funny how the side characters were actually way better than Kiritsugu.

Attached: ezgif-4-55e87d4a77d7.jpg (680x600, 55K)

Kiritsuga isn't a bad character. He's just a terrible unlikeable person, and not in a fun way.

It's no wonder that the two insane serial killers are more consistently entertaining.

>Why did he give his daughter over to someone who raped her with worms every day?

Mahous Before Hoes

>Mahous
^Majutsus

His family is new and will kill/get him of him once Reines becomes of age, Gray reminds him of Saber (and not in a good way), and every single one of his students is a better mage than he is. He has every right to be an asshole, but somehow isn't, well most of the time. I'd call that a testament to his character

i read a bit of the fate/zero novels, the einsberns, tohsaka and matou families are the big 3 families of japan which the author was trying to draw a parallel to the 3 kingdoms in chinese lore

Einzberns aren‘t even in Japan, lad

If he didn't give her away, would Sakura and Rin end up like Aoko and Touko?

Given by their personalities then no i don't think so. Also the situation between Aoko and Touko is vastly different from the Tohsaka sisters, and didn't Tokiomi want Sakura and Rin to fight each other ?

>didn't Tokiomi want Sakura and Rin to fight each other?
Dude that's his best case scenario
>daughters grow up competent mages
>one dies
>one reaches the root
Win-win scenario in his case

Attached: tohsaka.png (1004x749, 1.03M)

Pro dad

>the big 3 were supposed to parallel the 3 warring kingdoms of China
Never knew this. Wonder who was who.

So in Tokiomi's world, after Sakura has suffered and gained unlimited cosmic power, she's going to just hand it to him as a thank you, rather than use said ultimate power to make his balls explode?
