I dont think emma is that bad. But when she said she didnt want to kill the demons, it felt really bad. I know she was a kind character but really, in that world kindness wont bring you anything. Both her and ray naiveness also make me upset. Thinking that everything will be solved easily if they go to 7walls and then boom. They got traped.

This is shonen, of course there will be plot armor everywhere. Its not like they can just kill emma off. If they can do that then ray should be die in the first arc.
They introduced the demon ex machina in the first arc after escaping the orphanage. The knowledge that demons "need" to eat humans is much more recent compared to the knowledge that there are demons that don't eat humans at all.

I know she's not going to die or anything, that's not the problem, but at least put some hardship on her journey. The way she dealt with the death of those two children, the way Yugo became her servant or the way she simply recovered from a demon attack was ridiculous.
