A series of small "chapters" no more than a few pages that tell a very small (but well put together) story.
Mangaka is better for their work on Dungeon Meshi, so if the art is similar, now you know.

Fujimi Lovers is one hell of a ride down the fucking weird street with a detour through the valley of slightly uncomfortable.
A Boy Meets Girl story except it happens a few times.
Joseph Martin
This is translated by the fine ladies and gentlemen of Yea Forums and /u/ which can best be summarized as "Watamote, but we skipped the awkward first part for the yuri"
Cute and short if that's your trip.

While a strange one, "The Monster of Class 1-A" is actually pretty interesting to read because of its characters are fun without falling directly into cliche.
Evan Ortiz
William Barnes
While only 12 chapters in, I can give this a tentative recommendation. Its apocalypse is over, but people are still being dicks.
The MC is a dick for a reason and actively reads like he's two steps from reeeeeeeeing half the time, but all his faults make him a weird kid in an equally weird setting. Art's pretty alright and gives me an early Fire Punch vibe. I enjoy it, but something may happen in the 30ish chapters I have yet to read.

God I hate this artist and writer, it's like he's amateur in every aspect yet still gets acclaim.
Ryder Thompson
Evan Cooper
How? He's got a fantastic sense for composition and storytelling, came up with memorable and unique characters and has a masterful control over the tones the scenes go through. That's a far cry from your typical jump rookie that has to have their character spell the scene out for the readers.

Eh, I consider a one-shot to be a small self-contained story, Terrarium in Drawer feels more like a combination of smaller stories rather than an actual one-shot.
Speaking of one-shots, everyone should read Zanuff the Butcher, it's nice, well-paced, and has some excellent artwork.
Adrian Jones
Honestly, I'm happy it ended where and how it did rather than some incredibly rushed ending like I've seen some stories end.
Now, this isn't a recommendation, but rather a warning of "how to tell your series will die before it gets going."
Dead in the water at around 15ish chapters, but everything leading up to its cancellation are little trends I've seen in a few works that have died ungracefully.

This had a Finnish scanlation going at some point but I forgot to keep checking for new chapters and now I've lost the page where it was upped. I wonder if it's still around somewhere in the internet.
