Good, but flawed. Really good for the first 20 episodes, shits the bed with 21 as it gets booted off to a Korean studio because Gainax couldn't keep up with the additional episodes demanded of them. Leaving it with a couple of really rough story arcs. Once Gainax gets it back for the finale, it's great.

Lot of good episodes, some mediocre and bad ones in the middle due to network issues, but ends strong.

This part almost redeemed that arc for me. It was a surprisingly realistic depiction of survival and it made Nadia look like the irrational fool that she was. Jean had the patience of a saint to but up with her bullshit for so long without snapping. He and Marie should have just carved up and ate Nadia to kill two birds with one stone.
