I never said anything about the smoke. But you need a good computer to render good smoke effects. Anime animators work on toasters, not on servers or on high end gaming PCs. And there's even more work to do when it comes to blending the smoke with the rest of the environment, since said environment is 2D. Basically, you need time and resources to produce really good 3D CGI. If they really had that much time and resource, they would have stuck to 2D. Because japanese 2D animation actually is cheap.

Titan shifters are able to recover,activate the powers and give the powers(if eaten by another titan) thx the spine(mostly the spinal fluid, later in the anime you will understand why it so important).
So the spine is their true weakpoint and the core of their powers, so even if you separate the brain from the spine or literally blow up the brain,since the spinal fluid take all the information from the brain and shares them entire the body, they can survive sharing their subcontious in the spine and waiting for the regeneration.
This move is actually possible not only for reiner, but literally all the titan shifters ca do that( even if this move is considered a "last hope").
The only ways to kill a titan shifter are 3: blow completly up the entire body,destroy this spine and brain at the same time or weakeded him so much until he can't regenerate anymore and than kill him as a regular human.
This rule is literally the main ability of a shifter outside the titan power,and since this rule didn't got contraddicted, this can't be considered an asspull

Isayama got way better now, to the point that I worried for the anime not being able to capture the kino panels with the same precision. Some panels are almost a art piece, like Eren's rage while ripping Reiner's head off in the last chapter.

It also improves some of the manga's bad decisions, for example the Trost arc is much better in the anime because you get to know the characters beforehand unlike in the manga where the training arc only comes after Trost

First of all, you can't politely ask an artillery shell to give you the trauma of your choosing. It has a very big chance to literally tear a human to small pieces.
Second, what if Eren would have get unconscious after the presumed blast and started to regenerate on the battlefield? That would be REALLY unconvenient.
Third, it's a hundred times easier to infiltrate a guy as a wounded soldier with an amnesia than to put him in a fighting regiment which would involve forging documents, creating/learning a perfect legend etc.

Not that user, but Eren was at Fort Slava when the fighting ceased. That shit had to be literally on the other side of Marley's Continent from where Paradis is, how would he get there? Had to be when Marley's military began their campaign against the MEU. In that case, Eren probably had to fight, unless he was a rear-echelon kind of guy.

I assumed it had to do with the impact of him hitting the ground while expelling his heat wave. He wasn't specifically trying to cause an explosion the other times

A combination of and For a titan like Bertholt there most be some degree of control of how much damage one can produce. And even more probably the more "explosive" the transformation, the more it drains the user.

This is why you should re-read SnK chapters.
Armin mentions them 'lying low in Marley' first, but we learn that SL was going to create a base here only later in the chapter.

The absolute biggest plothole and inconsistency is this scene right here. It makes absolutely no sense in hindsight and we have never seen this happening again.

The colossal titans ENTIRE FUCKING BODY just vanishing in an instant. There just is no way that this is physically possible within the in-universe rules. Berthold couldnt have consumed the entire mass of a 60 meter titan IN AN INSTANT just like that without burning Eren to a crisp like he did with Armin.

Pretty sure Isayama originally planned for titan shifters to be able to literally magically transform back and forth from human to titan and back, without having the shifter to physically leave the titan body behind like it is the case since Eren first transformed.

But then Isayama changed his mind. Even in the flashback chapter of Berthold kicking down wall Maria, we see that the colossal titan body did not vanish, but it just collapsed on its knees and Berthold existed it.

I find it really weird how no one is ever talking about this. Literally no one has ever brought this up.

I've noticed the author isn't very great at drawing people, I guess that's why his titan designs look so eerie.

We still have no idea how Eren and the Survey Corps infiltrated Marley. Because we have the current battle, manlet and unresolved Historia plot I doubt we will see the flashbacks this year.

I also really really want to see a brief explanation of other countries, if there’s a UN and what the power dynamics are of geopolitics but I doubt we get that. It makes no sense to me that the ENTIRE world would attack Paradis, a weak little island (but with nukes) instead of Marley the new big Titan Great Power.

I'm 99% sure Bert can choose whether he wants to nuke something or not.
All of the other times he was near the wall. Nuking the wall would have released the Wall Titans for sure (Bert and Co. only destroyed the Wall gate, nothing more). If you're an anime-only, you'll find out why releasing the Wall Titans is bad for Bert and co (or at least why they think so).

'He forgot' or 'He didn't pay attention' makes way more sense than 'He expected an asshole guard to make a practical joke on wounded soldiers and a specific Cadet boy to be there in the exact moment to help him'.

When he was slowly burning himself up on top of the wall in the Clash of the Titans arc, he was burning for at least a few minutes before only his bones were left.

And when he burned Armin to a crisp, i would say that also lasted for at least 1 minute.
There just is no way that you can instantly burn something, not even fucking LAVA can burn a human body in an instant, that still takes minutes.

I didn't say that, but I think he was looking for someone that would pity him and help him out. He needed Falco for his plan since his letter had to be sent from a postbox outside of the internment zone.

I see that a lot of people didn't understand why reiner survived. Let's me explain:
Titan shifters are able to recover,activate the powers and give the powers(if eaten by another titan) thx the spine(mostly the spinal fluid, later in the anime you will understand why it so important).
So the spine is their true weakpoint and the core of their powers, so even if you separate the brain from the spine or literally blow up the brain,since the spinal fluid take all the information from the brain and shares them entire the body, they can survive sharing their subcontious in the spine and waiting for the regeneration.
This move is actually possible not only for reiner, but literally all the titan shifters ca do that( even if this move is considered a "last hope").
The only ways to kill a titan shifter are 3: blow completly up the entire body,destroy this spine and brain at the same time or weakeded him so much until he can't regenerate anymore and than kill him as a regular human.
This rule is literally the main ability of a shifter outside the titan power,and since this rule didn't got contraddicted, this can't be considered an asspull
