Bones generally proves themself to be pretty faithful to the source material and put effort where it matters, not sure how much experience they got with something like Overlord though.

Seasons II and III were both part of the same project. You don't simply finish a show and then pump out a sequel in one season. They knew that they were making III, when they started production on II.
It's a bit of an industry crisis out there right now. Everyone is not at their A game these days.

You may not like bones anime. That is fine. But you can't deny that they give their shows their best. Time and time again, they have pumped out one sakuga filled and well choreographed action shows after another. We need an Overlord adaptation that is a OVA/movie series. Each volume gets it's own 1-1,5h movie, that is well planned out. Shortly after this happened, Ainz aka Satoru poofed into existence and since he has no exposure to Nazarick's NPCs, he doesn't immediately pretend to be a ruler and instead talks normally with his normal ass salaryman voice to Evil Eye aka Keno.
FUCKING FIVE YEARS OF ADVENTURING LATER
Satoru and Keno are best adventuring buddies. They fought many powerful enemies and amassed many rare artifacts and wealth, and are on their way to Keno's old kingdom which she destroyed. Unlike the original story, Satoru isn't an unnaturally lucky omnipotent undead ruler, but instead a run-of-the-mill goofy-ass isekai protag and Keno is the intelligent one of the two. He can't keep a secret from Keno because they've been adventuring for so long and Keno suspects that Ainz is here not for wealth but for something else.

Satoru and Keno enter the city and find no yuriniggers. All the undead seemingly vanished and not a single body is found. The city itself is timeworn but hasn't been looted or even touched. After some investingation and looting, the pair find a door made of crushed up bones. These were the citizens of the kingdom.
Ainz wants to fight the big baddie that killed all these undead. Keno says no. Ainz says by killing Gravelord Nito he can somehow resurrect Keno's parents and reverse Keno's vampirism. Also hold this ring bitch. Keno says alright.

Considering how terrible the conditions for the animators are these days, I'd say that this is same everywhere. A guy who animates a 5 second talking heads shot, and the guy who does a 15 second, 360, epic fighting shot, both get the same pay for their works. And that is why a lot of animators are lazy and don't want to do complex shots. Why would anyone put in a lot of extra work, when they get paid exactly as much as the guy who puts in 3 times less work?

Nah, sounds more like an industry wide trick to cheat employees out of fair pay. If they paid by hours worked on the cut, then they would start working 12 hours on a talking head shots. If they paid by complexity of the cut, then there would be a lot more complex cuts and the studio would have to pay a lot of extra money, instead of their average per cut.
