You are confusing disaster with trainwreck. Its not production disaster - its actually very well made show technically (though not well directed), and its not trainwreck since it has no train on its rails,
Its disaster for PA Works, since they obviously put much effort into this show, with it even being two cour one - and it obviously performs below any expectations. The only hope is some investors paid for its production in advance and PA Works hopefully not suffer major loss with it.
Overall, though, i really cant pin point what is real "wrong" with the show - it just does not click, while having all elements to be good. Subpar direction making any serious/emotional scene having no value/impact and badly structured story which might be decent on itself, in generic way, lacks mystery and hook with only development being "wait X episodes to see flashback of Y character motives". It might actually start being interesting somewhere in second half, but thats too late.

Furthermore, she's said to have a full family, with parents related to her by blood. Even if that's a lie, she's have to be transported to Suna and forget her previous life within last 4 years, and somehow make everyone in the village believe that she's a daughter of local people. Not enough time.
