Will they make another season of Boogiepop? If they do, what novels would they cover this time?
Will they make another season of Boogiepop? If they do, what novels would they cover this time?
Maybe 4, 8, 9 and 10
Flopped hard and was panned by the critic so dont count on it
>Flopped hard
In dvd sales or streaming numbers? Because these days, good streaming numbers can save a show.
They only sold 400 copies of bd... It seems that we can't see the bend guy and burning guy.
Baki 2018 sold in even less copies, but it is getting a sequel due to strong streaming numbers. BD sales are no longer end all be all, when it comes to measuring shows success.
I don't remember Boogiepop being on Netflix, though.
Sales are irrelevant, they never intended on making more regardless.

Sucks that the guys passion project failed, and that we never get to see any of that. What the hell anime community. You watch and give money to all that 99% of generic garbage that airs every season, but when a different and important anime comes out, you ignore it?
>they never intended on making more regardless.
Got a source on that?
How many of the novels are translated?

nico livestream of the full season starting in just over an hour, link's at the bottom of the tweet
i'm about to head to bed and won't wake up until it's over, rip
i watched it but still don't understand what the fuck was it about
I want them to do a prequel ova about Camille's life, before the start of the series.
nah, it's too much of a brainlet filter these days
Just finished At Dawn last night. Really enjoyed the arc. The first episode with Scarecrow was amazing and young Nagi was very fun to watch.
haha more like boogieFLOP
It was about just boogiepop
The productions values were subpar (so much for the directer passing on OPM S2 and supposedly getting all of his crew from S1 to work on this), the direction itself wasn't amazing, most of the stories did not live up to the hype of "the legendary Boogiepop series" at all.
I wouldn't mind watching S2 but I can totally see why it most likely won't happen and I won't cry over it.
Those who read the novels, can you spoil something for me? It is heavily hinted that Miyashita is in fact just lying, probably to herself as well, about Boogiepop being a separate entity from her. Do the two of them merge together at some point? Does the bf guy try to do some crazy shit to get Boogie out like the King of Distortion suggested?
Just the first six as far as I know.
"Just be yourself"
6 out of 22? Motherfuckers. Can't have a season 2 and can't read the books. Guess I'll rewatch phantom.
Also, can anyone explain phantom to me?
Am I the only one who thinks that Boogiepop would work well as a love action tv series. I mean it's mostly highschoolers talking. And the few bits of action it does have, would not be that hard to do.
God I wish, I miss boogie
This revival of an older franchise still worked a lot better than something like the new Kino's journey show.
Finished it yesterday
Aoi Yuuki was a perfect choice
Smugipop.
The latest Kino's journey was a fucking crime against the franchise.
The latest book was something like a supplementary episode that focused on aya orihata not long after VS Imaginator arc. Overall, it was pretty interesting.
>Translation never ever
Buy the books anyway. Seven Seas said they'll license more if they sell well. The translator is openly asking for Seven Seas to license more too.
>18,398 are watching

Nice
I miss boogie already
>Flopped hard
Not really
>"the critic"
They matter?
Literally just a nasu/knk/fate rip off. Why even bother?
>Nishio: I think I might not be where I am today without "Boogiepop does not laugh".
>Not only me, but also Sato-san and Nasu-san.
>Ohta: Nasu-san actually said the same thing. One day Nasu-san was suddenly given "Boogiepop Doesn't Laugh" and he said that "This is what you want to do!". In this way, talented novelists have the power to wake up talented novelists.
>Nishio: Right, Kadono-san is "Seiichi Kirima" for us.
>Kadono-san is "Seiichi Kirima" for us
Why does this little shit always comes late, at least if there is already a casualty?

Based
Same
At least I got a GSC and Kotobukiya figurine out of it...and some new doujins.
>Boogiepop season 2 happening, ever
Stranger things have happened
>What novels will they adapt
I could tell you if I knew what the other novels were about and what would be a good stopping point.
A boost in LN sales is all that matters and what critics? Western ones, who cares? The fan reception in Japan was good.
Fucking nice
I want to imagine that forehead
I doubt it
Daily reminder: he won
He was right all along
It snowed in april in japan
So a hentai OVA?

When I make it big in filmmaking, I'm gonna direct a boogiepop series.
BASED nips
Season 2 soon
I wish I witnessed those threads.

This kills MALtards
New Touka is cute
based, I always have my hopes up for nips to save series like these when amerimutts fail
and hot
Is the new anime good?
I only read the manga and watched the 2000 anime
I like her peculiar fashion sense.
>when amerimutts fail
It's very rare for a series to be saved because west likes it. Baccano for example is beloved in the west. Yet east didn't give two shits about it. Results? No sequel.
I wish
Lucky Incho-san
Touka is always cute

don't reply to subhumans
They should remake the Anime
Follow the Light Novels closer
with better animation and art
Cos Boogie is a serial killer with a very specific type of targets
It's not fair bros
I wanted to protect his smile
Why did they make this when literally only the manticore scenes are in the anime? I felt baited as fuck.
god this was pretty
at least we got descent to grey out of it
The ED animation is really pretty.
Maybe they expected to get 26 episodes, but it was cut down to 18? Also, this trailer seems to be something that was made to show that this can work, and to get more funding.
Nothing to watch this season so I'll give this one another chance. I stopped after ep 1 and figured it just wasn't for me.
Trigger episode was fun
Is Takeda going to fuck Boogiepop?
no
Yes
What if Takeda becomes an enemy of the world?
Cute creepy bubble
The anime community is trash
Can you guys stop being butches and translate the damn thing?
日本語を習え。
Does Boogie poop?
No, he only pops.
The first arc was butchered. Things started to pick up episode 4 or 5. Episode one was a pleb filter.
Not to make the same mistake twice, they should adapt embryo arc next time. Only fortissimo would be able to draw much attention from casual anime watchers.
