It's the pacing that really ruined it for me, it's just so god damn atrocious. You can barely tell what's going on half of the time because of how it's just whipping around from character to character so quickly, while simultaneously trying to get through their arc as fast as possible. Sachi is the absolute worst victim of this, her 'arc' is just "what the fuck is wrong with this girl" then straight into "oh okay she's fine now" with no development or backstory inbetween, all in the span of what I'm pretty sure wasn't even a single full episode.

I'll admit Sachi definitely got the worst of it. Doesn't help that she was never too compelling either.

Just finished this anime yesterday, didn’t really like it but if anybody wanted a recommendation for horror I’d say watch the last three episodes and don’t even look at the rest.

I should read the first again and actually read the sequels.

The thing that gets me is that the second season came out with only a three month break between the two, which means that they’d pretty much committed to two cour from the start. They could’ve used all 26 episodes for a halfway decent adaptation of Kajitsu, but decided to rush through instead.

That being said, it’s not just the pacing because there’s also a bunch of minor problems with the direction, like the random fan service everywhere (scene in OP isn’t a problem because it’s the focus of the scene, but stuff like random pantyshots when Yuuji and Sachi are walking down a hallway or during tense moments really breaks the tone. The VN was fan service, but they knew where they could get away with that without having it at odds with the other things each scene was trying to accomplish)

I read the manga for a bit and it was at least somewhat interesting, but they implied pretty early on that the MC was actually a killer in disguise. Think the manga got dropped pretty quickly as well.

I think it was 2 or 3 out of 5.

I meant out of the three games, Just Kajitsu it's at least 2/5
