Where's the movie?
Where's the movie?
>PriPri was one of my favorite shows in recent years
>The movies are lost in limbo
Why is life so full of suffering?
Probably winter season.
The first one was always supposed to came late 2019.
I thought they said Winter 2019
As in December 2019
Winter means Q1 when talking Japanese entertainment, doesn't it?
Beato accidentally spilled her oil all over it so they have to fix it.
They still haven't found a replacement VA for Ange.
How would you know?
yep, threw everyone else for a loop too
So that was wrong?
it means they said 'the movie is coming winter 2019' but meant the end of the year and not the industry standard nomenclature
Black Fox is already coming in late 2019, so PriPri probably got delayed.
Actas is probably the one holding things up.
What is it with these movies (which are most of the time just OVAs, anyway)? The Yuru Yuri one was announced over a year ago and no news, the Girls und Panzer ones are going to take most of the next decade, the Haifuri one might or might not happen. Is it just the studios pulling the fan's chains, or are they lower priority than TV stuff?
Unlike tv shows, with movies they can double dip with ticket sales + blu-rays
In the age of streaming fewer people pay to watch individual anime, so to be able to charge each individual watching the movie is valuable.
On Crunchyroll.
Think of all the anons we will lose on the way.
How could a show start so good to finish so meh ?
It was clearly amazing up to the train episode with the ninja loli. After that, it became quite dull and boring. What a shame
The best episodes were the first 2. But episodes like 6, 8 and 10 are just as good as anything else in the first half.
You're just dumb.
Word on the street was that 3Hz had to delay all their other projects to rush out that SAO spinoff. Black Fox was supposed to be out by now.
cursed Beato is best Beato
Seriously though why haven't they announced Ange's new VA yet?
When you say "word on the street" do you mean posts on Yea Forums?
I think the info originally came from somewhere else but yes, I saw it on Yea Forums so take it with a grain of salt
You've both completely missed my point. Yes, I know they want to make more money, so they put these OVAs in the cinema, but why do they (a) take so long and (b) give the fans little to no information as to their progress?
I don't think anyone on Yea Forums is informed enough to accurately answer these questions. We don't know if they'll all take long once the ball gets rolling, just because that happened with GuP
I like PriPri for two reasons:
1- Doro's doros
The 6 movie idea was a fucking retarded decision.
I don't know why they're banking on the IP having so much staying power when it was basically just another seasonal anime and was soon forgotten.
I never forgot. It was much better than your average seasonal anime and you have to make content to make your IP have staying power
>it was basically just another seasonal anime and was soon forgotten
But we're all still here talking about it.
Of course you need to make content, but that content can't be over 2 fucking years apart.
A 4 hour old thread with 17 posts on a foreign imageboard is hardly a great metric to go by.
I agree they shouldn't have taken this long but 2 years isn't some unbelievably long amount of time, it's a standard amount of times between entries in a series in most mediums
For a new IP that wasn't even a smash hit and has had nothing else of note release between the TV series and the movie, yes, it is an unbelievably long amount of time.
>nothing else of note release between the TV series and the movie
There was that mobage that since closed down
Yeah, as I said, nothing of note.
It was a reasonably success, if the movies are good they'll more than make up for the downtime. At least personaly, I don't mind waiting too long for quality.
I admire your optimism.
I like that Black Fox is coming with a toku rather than a mobage like every other series.
Even if you take GuP, which is way bigger than PriPri, the two year gap between movies is atrocious. Sure, people will still watch it, but taking 10 years to finish a movie series will kill any hype, even if the movies are good.
I think K had the right idea when they released the movies with a one month gap between them. I doubt it takes two years to animate a 1 hour movie.
It was only 47 minutes including credits, I can't believe it's TWO YEARS between each movie.
Oh I agree, over 2 years BETWEEN
It almost certainly will be, it's the same company and structure as GuP after all.
its some of the same production committee, but the majority of the work will be done by 3Hz, not Actas, and there's no reason to think they're happy with the GuP system and won't improve it
The animation studio obviously isn't calling the shots in that regard.
It's the same PC, it will be structured in exactly the same way, mark my words.
Well I choose to be a bit more optimistic. And while the animation studio obviously doesn't call all the shots, they do play a big roll in how quickly and efficiently the show can be done and I trust 3Hz more than Actas
They most certainly do not dictate how long it's going to be.
Also, are you aware that Actas was also heavily involved in PP?
Are you saying they made a mistake? What proof do you have?
involved yes, but it was primarily a 3Hz show as far as I've ever heard.
Lesbian royal wedding when?
Well also keep in mind that 3Hz now has five announced projects, so they are more busy than usual.
PP was 2017 user.
Movie 5, i got the script
I hope the movies have more jazz and less moody strings.
you can't have Kajiura without moody strings. it's just not happening
Yes you can. The problem was that they were excessive in PriPri. They fit Madoka. They don't fit PriPri.
i had no problems with the music, it was used very appropriately. i do think Shadow and Fog is the best song on the soundtrack though so more jazzy stuff would be nice
I liked the jazz in pri pri, it was amazing. jazz and steampunk goes together very well.
>tfw your last name is Beato
